What if Ben becomes the ultimate Bachelor, and Bender becomes his wingman?

You know it's possible the image of the wrecked cockpit could just be from the opening scene of the episode, they do stuff like that all the time, such as the beginning of Godfellas or Fry Am the Egg Man.

Maybe the electrical/web thing could age people thus we see Ben lke this...

Nah, I think that's just due to him being a robot.

As Bender says in A Clockwork Origin: "Robots do everything faster!" I assume, then, this includes growing up. It'll be interesting to see an explanation given in the episode, which may perhaps involve a robot's RNA.

It's also nice to see that Matt is still involved with the creative side of the show as he's approved the first image...

I'm a huge Josh Weinstein fan, but it just has that IaGDL feel to it. 2nd episode of the season, doomsday; but I'm sure it'll be fine.

So an episode with an epic sounding plot (That honestly doesn't sound anything like IaGDL) that is written by a great writer is going to suck just because it was the second episode produced?

SGB knows whether or not an episode will be good or not just from one of the writer's saying "It's a good one!"... :p

Leela> A galactic storm damaged the ship. And the instruments say it caused partial amnesia regarding prophecies...
Fry> Then it's good we do not have a prophecy to forget. Btw...will you go out with me?
Leela>Fry, I told you a thousand times: We are just friends.

Maybe that is what the storm is for... :p :D

Yeah, I was hoping Amana from Neutopia would come back, but Bev seems pretty cool.  And I'm a big fan of Wanda Sykes, so yeah.

Really hate that Zapp is actually going to date Munda.  I'm hoping Gorky will back me up on this one, considering how much she hated PI for messing up the Amy/Kiff couple.

Is it really certain that Zapp is dating Munda, or might he be just pinning after her to make Leela jealous? (With the whole universe to chose from, Futurama does not really need a "Milhouse Parents" remake..)

It says that Zapp is actually dating Munda on the Infosphere so... bah.  I can sort of buy Amy and Kif breaking up for a bit, but considering Morris and Munda have been together for decades, are devoted to each other and to Leela as a family, I'm really hating the idea of Zapp being able to steal Munda away from her husband.

Why did everyone think it was gonna be Amana?

We've known since last year (even before or around 6B started) that it'd a vending machine...

BTW, today's thing on the countdown is a bunch of storyboards from the clip they already released on the 1st May! Bullshit!

More here. So now we've seen this as an animatic, as a finished version and as a storyboard... Yay. :hmpf:

I'll back you up there, as I'm not too keen on the idea for the reasons you've stated. I've always liked Morris and Munda as a pair, and the idea of Munda outright leaving him seems out of the blue.

Unless, perhaps, Morris goes missing (and presumed dead) in the episode. I'm not buying that idea much either.

In any case, I expect (and hope) things will just return back to normal by the end of the episode.

I never did think it was Amana, since... what you just said.

But I always was a bit disappointed we weren't going to see her again.  But I'm sure there is enough room in the universe for two similarly shaped food related robots that are voiced by sassy black women.

Hey not only that bendingunit6, but you said blue and Munda!  Blue Munda, geddit?  I'll shut up now...

Anyway, I'm glad I'm not the only one whose not loving the idea.  Morris and Munda work so well together, so breaking up feels a bit rubbish.  I also hated how they changed La Barbs from a loving wife who looks past her fat ugly husband's flaws into an adulterous wench.

Did anybody realize that the Countdown to Futurama this year don't have a picture thing like the past 3 did........? A little disappointing. I'm starting to think Comedy Central isn't giving the show so much support anymore.

I think Comedy Central is doing a pretty good job of promoting it so far. Futurama's official Facebook page has been posting news and preview drawings almost every day.

On that topic, have you seen their Facebook page? It has over TWENTY MILLION likes. Also, I was at Best Buy the other day, and all of the DVD sets were sold out. Futurama is definitely growing in popularity. Do you think the network execs at Fox ever kick themselves for cancelling it? I like to think they do. But then again, I am wildly self-deluded.

Can anyone actually understand what SolidSnake is complaining about?

So now we've seen this as an animatic, as a finished version and as a storyboard... Yay. :hmpf:

Are you saying you don't find it interesting to see the progress of a scene from storyboard to finished animation? :nono:

Something about the second colour still from The Bots and the Bees just felt like classic Futurama when I saw it. Maybe it's the fact that it's just the main trio in some kind of peril or something.

I am just saying that it seems like they are giving a little less support for the show nowadays. but they STILL DO give good support though, I mean they ordered Season 7 because of how well season 6 was. And look at the Countdown to Futurama and the Fanarama. Remember Clip of the day? They pretty much got rid of that after Season 6B. It's just a small concern, nothing big.  :nono:

There's like several Futurama pages on Facebook... does peel have one?

Nice to see the production stages of the clip, but I think they should have shown them in production order; script, storyboard, animatic, and then the actual clip.

Wow, look at that sky! Hot dang. I realize the quality isn't quite as good now as during its original run on Fox, because of their smaller budget, but I still think there's been some beautiful animation.

That Matt Groening. He just has to put his name on EVERYTHING. He's as bad as Bender.

They do. I wonder what's the awkwardness about it?

Also, what's with Leelas leg?

Glowing Fry sounds interesting - his poor leg though. (although he should have seen it coming, srsly who lets Bender reach over and grab their leg when he's doing a bending display?)
