I see no thread for this and it needed one, after all it's one of my fave episodes and very underrated!...

This is a great start out episode for Season Two, and I like how Nibbler is just portrayed as the simple cute pet and nothing more. At this point the viewer didn't really know any different. That in itself makes it all the funnier when he gets all of the attention instead of Bender, and I feel it brings out the best in Bender (one of his worst, but funniest sides). Also, the whole vet scene was classic!...

The empathy chip created some very funny situations, and Bender with all of those over-the-top emotions was great (especially when we find out at the end that the chip was running at triple capacity and he still barely felt anything!)...

One of my favourite things about this episode is the sewers! As soon as they go down there it adds a whole new dimension to the Futurama-verse. I was wowed by this the first time I saw it, and I still love what it has added to the rich tapestry of the show. Gotta love the Professor's line: "Nibbler, who's gone to a place where I too hope one day to go... the toilet."...

The mutants are awesome, and their whole underground world was fantastically realised and it felt like it really could have existed. The continuity with Leela being a "virgin" was great; I loved the Zapp call-back. As I said before, the ending was also great, the character were all on form and Dr Zoidberg was also great in his short appearances. This really is one of my favourite episodes and is very underrated!...

I actually caught this on Comedy Central the other day.  I almost completely forgot about it... probably because of Bender's "old" coarse voice that John DiMaggio used to use for him.  I like his voice better now (seems a bit brighter).

Anyway, yeah I would agree this was a pretty good epsiode.  I enjoyed the whole voyage that Leela and Fry took to search for Bender and Nibbler in the sewers.  It gave the viewers a glance of the sewer mutants that dwell beneath New New York.  This episode had its funny moments such as tying Leela, ripping her shirt to show cleavage, and "sacrifice" her to El Chupanibre (a-la King Kong-esqe type of sacrifice).  The Professor Farnsworth chip analysis at the end cracked me up simply because I knew it was coming.  That's always humor I can enjoy.   :D

I wonder what the sewers underneath Old New York are like?? ;)

I really like this episode, I love the futurama birthday song especially.

This one is probably one of my favourites of that season, without looking at the box to see what other episodes are on it.

This is just one of those episodes that doesn't seem to have any low or boring points, it's not super spectacular but it's just nice to watch.

I also gave it 8/10

Wow I really need to post on topic more often.

Good episode. I like how Nibbler gets a bit more attention, and the stuff in the sewers was pretty neat.

Since I'm feeling nosy and opinionated, I give it an 8.
