My personal hope is maybe, just maybe... season 7a & 7b will be on season 3's level.......and then the inevitable season 8a & 8b will be on season 4's level.
It'a little hard to tell what you mean here, because I'm not sure if you find season 3 to be better than season 4, or the other way round. Interestingly, I find season 2 to contain the fewest laughs. Although maybe that's just because I've seen it so many times and the jokes have become less funny than they used to. I would be quite glad if Futurama could go on forever and remain high in quality, because I honestly don't like any other shows. If Futurama died, then TV would be dead to me. You over-exadgerate everything, I don't like you.
I don't think this is over-exa ggeration. It seems to be speculation if anything. Also, I think we should move to the General Futurama discussion thread, since this isn't really news we're talking about.

Let's just call it fair...
I never said it didn't go both ways... although it has to be said that there isn't a single good show in the US to UK list (including both the original and the remake). Wow, and all those shows suck.. all the USA 2 UK shows and all the UK 2 USA shows in those lists.. totally suck.
Seriously, 'Trigger Happy TV' was the only good one on those lists... and I liked both versions (since they each had Dom) and both versions aired in the USA. The original version of Trigger Happy TV is a masterpiece, the remake was... kind of shit spare for maybe 1 sketch per episode. And all of those shows sucking? Fuck no. Da Ali G Show (both versions), Fawlty Towers, the original The IT Crowd, One Foot in the Grave, the original Red Dwarf, the original Spaced, the original The Thick of It and both versions of The Office all vary from being at least very good to fucking incredible and amongst the best TV ever made. Most TV sucks, but the shows listed above do not. Futurama's great, but I think by now everyone has seen an episode that make's them feel ashamed it got made. I haven't but perhaps that's because I'm not some cretin who thinks that one crap episode is enough to justify 100+ good episodes never existing in the first place. I can't even watch "Yo Leela Leela" unless the commentary track is on... same goes for "Beast With a Billion Backs", it's boring and seeing everyone get hentai tentacle raped was more "Family Guy" esque than...well... Peter pooping his pants whilst slipping down the stairs only to land in a puddle of urine soaked vomit at the bottom. I hate when people compare things to Family Guy without any sense of accuracy. Just because you found tentacle rape to be weird and/or crude, doesn't make it anything like Family Guy. And your little "sketch" isn't all that Family Guy-esque either; there's no pop-culture references or things drawn out 5 times longer than they should be. Also don't forget the rumor is CC wants new Futurama as long as SP is still being made.. so they have at least two heavy animated hitters. Just because you said it right now doesn't make it a rumour. Oh, and don't forget Matt wants an actual Futurama movie to be made.. More of a David X. Cohen dream, this one. In a few years we might all be sick of Futurama... b/c less is usually more when it comes to T.V., and executives only care about $$$$$. You have no idea what you're talking about. You're applying real principals in a completely random fashion in a feeble attempt to have an opinion. That's why 'The Simpsons' has no dignity left and has become a parody of itself. What? You mean it's got nothing to do with the writing? Yes, it's original cancellation hurt the show overall but.. I hope Futurama struggles to be renewed each time, it will be better for the fans in the long run, even if they can't accept or see it right now. Yeah, I'd rather the show struggle along with stop-start production schedules that cause writers and other staff to take other offers in case they don't get a renewal instead of the show being successful enough to warrant a bigger budget, a return to its previously larger writing staff and little pleasures such as orchestrated music. Who wouldn't prefer that? Clearly success is what killed The Simpsons as opposed to the changes in showrunner and writing staff as well as running so long that there's nothing but stupid/crazy/rehashed storylines left.

We agree on a lot actually... it comes through in your writing.
Firstly, I meant ashamed *insert whatever episode made you barf here* got made, and not that I was ashamed that the entire series got made.
Secondly, Unreal's right this doesn't belong here.
Thirdly, I forgot about Red Dwarf, and as for the 'original' Spaced> IT GOT REMADE, say what the F, b/c I had no clue???? So your right on that tip.
Fourthly, I can show you the rumors about the SP/Futurama connection over at CC, also common sense would suggest that they want to keep the two highest rated animated shows they have going.
Fifthly, why argue about dreams, b/c David and Matt both like having $ so why wouldn't they both want a movie?
Sixthly, by a few years... I honestly meant in about ten, this is my fault and I'll elaborate better next time.
And so on and so on... b/c we agree on all 'The Simpsons' related stuff being about writing and show runners just from what I infer from your post.
P.S. I was being sardonic for the sake of emphasis... I am sorry if I upset you.

I wish the show was still on Fox and they had all the money and time in the world. I meant the way things are with the ratings it's not going to happen, new SP out performs new Futurama by a million. Futurama will never have the money it did like it was on 'Fox" in this economy.. I'm sorry. All I was trying to say is, like Al Jean, if David knew that he had to make season after season forever he'd slack off like Al Jean, and that all I was trying to say is that Futurama is good where it's at only being renewed 26 at a time, and not four seasons at a time like SP.

Is Misfits the one British show the Americans HAVEN'T stolen, or are they doing an American version as we speak?
Correct, production begins on the US version later this year/early 2013. Futurama's great, but I think by now everyone has seen an episode that make's them feel ashamed it got made.
Wow, you're an utter douchebag. MuchAdo your posts are ridiculous and retarded.

1 - Just moved most of a page of discussion from the Futurama News thread to here. Let's stay on topic.
2 - Let's keep it civil, people. Being overly inflammatory is a great way to get your posts deleted, making the other guy the de facto winner.
3 - MuchAdo, if your post is the most recent one in the discussion and you think of something else to say, please use the Edit button (top right corner of any post you make) instead of generating a brand new post. We're picky like that, but it's a simple rule to abide by.
4 - Otis, aside from the ears I think that mutant on the right might be related to Principal Skinner.
