It could be the Calculon episode I sure hope not. Definately a character best in small doses...

Please stop whoring your videos in more than one thread. Put them in the thread I've just linked to, and leave it at that. If you really wanted to, you could go put them in the YouTube thread in Off-Topic. But posting them across multiple threads in On-Topic is one of the more irritating things that you can do.

It was good in the day, but now its a dead horse. Having their relationship be CONSTANTLY in doubt is just lazy writing. If they thought actually making Fry and Leela be a couple would be writing them into a corner, then they shouldn't have done it at all. Besides, having them be a couple actually opens up many more storytelling possibilities then the usual "Fry wants to win Leela's heart" storyline. Plus, Leela constantly finding petty and inane reasons to dump or ignore or generally break Fry's heart just makes her seem like a complete bitch. I actually really didn't like her for a long time because of how she treated Fry in the later seasons and the movies, and I'm only just beginning to like her again. If she carries on stringing Fry along when she's not interested I will really begin to hate her again, especially since a (temporarily) Higher Power showed them that they will have a great future together as a couple.
Overclockwise for example, really annoyed me. Oh right, Leela, you think selling houses for for rich people is more meaningful and exciting then being an intergalactic starship captain, just because you have a bigger paycheck? And if that really is the case, how about talking with Fry and working out something together? And if your relationship is in a rut, work on it instead of randomly asking Fry opaque questions every now and then and shutting down when you don't like his answers. As for the relationship being flat, Fry can't write you an opera, or sacrifice something he really really wants for your benefit, or wait by your bedside for weeks while you're in a coma or save your life on Valentine's day every day, you know.

When re-watching original run eps, I think, wow, there are so many pop culture references that would of been pretty recent at the time of airing, but they don't seem to bother me, yet the ones in Season 6 do. I think that within a few years the pop culture will just breeze over when we re-watch Season 6. I also think Season 6 will be more liked, if you look at some the old original run review threads a lot of good eps got really bad reviews, but now they are generally liked. I think time is the key thing that affects Futurama episodes.

Tre, the pop-culture references are a unique part of the show. I wish more shows did that.
Get out. Get right the fuck out. Don't stop to look back. Don't pass Go. Don't collect £200. Just. Get. Out.
