Well, the title does pretty obviously suggest that it will make fun of Fox and probably will have to do with television in the future. All we're saying is that this has all been done already.

Unless it's about foxes; as in the animal.
Often the titles are quite literal. I remember thinking how boring "The Duh-Vinci Code" sounded, and later discovered that it was also referencing Fry's stupidity.

Like I said, I think it's much more likely that the "fox" that the title refers to is some sort of sexy woman than the Fox network so don't get upset about it for being a rehash or going to places you don't like yet. I even think that it's more likely to be about some sort of mutant space-fox than the company.

Edit: somewhat beaten by the post above that I somehow missed when I posted this.

IGN really should stick to games rather than branch into territories they seemingly have no clue about. Having said that, some of their game reviews are just as moronic. Their Futurama reviews though, they make me literally angry with rage!...

You can't spell ignorant without IGN...

I'm not upset yet, just mildly disappointed. But I will go into the episode with an open mind and hope it redeems itself, which it very well might.

IGN irritates me so much as well.

It could be the new title for Blue Munda, or just another episode. Still, it is referring to a girl then it could be the new title for Blue Munda.

This is what my thoughts rang to first when I heard the name too.  The title seems most clearly a play off the song "Twentieth Century Fox" by The Doors, and will be about a sexy woman (or perhaps a man/robot/alien).  Perhaps a new "foxy" character comes in to disrupt the established relationships between the main characters - or maybe one of the main characters starts behaving more promiscuously, with consequences.

It could be the Calculon episode, considering it could involve television and acting. But I have an iffy feeling about that episode. A Calculon-ventric episode, could be his ultimate downfall and then he'll start winning some Annies (that's a joke BTW).

I sure hope not. Definately a character best in small doses...

Ick, another one I am not really looking forward too. Although, Calculon isn't completely irredeemable. He's just annoying. But a really solid plot could make a Calculon-centric episode rank among the better Futurama eps.

It could be a subplot or even an offhand scene for all we know. I don't think it was ever confirmed as a whole episode.

Please stop whoring your videos in more than one thread. Put them in the thread I've just linked to, and leave it at that. If you really wanted to, you could go put them in the YouTube thread in Off-Topic. But posting them across multiple threads in On-Topic is one of the more irritating things that you can do.

If the show is going to stop being fickle and womanlike and actually make them stay as a couple, and stop pulling a Ross and Rachel despite the bloated whale corpse of evidence that they belong together.

It was good in the day, but now its a dead horse.  Having their relationship be CONSTANTLY in doubt is just lazy writing.  If they thought actually making Fry and Leela be a couple would be writing them into a corner, then they shouldn't have done it at all.   Besides, having them be a couple actually opens up many more storytelling possibilities then the usual "Fry wants to win Leela's heart" storyline.  Plus, Leela constantly finding petty and inane reasons to dump or ignore or generally break Fry's heart just makes her seem like a complete bitch.  I actually really didn't like her for a long time because of how she treated Fry in the later seasons and the movies, and I'm only just beginning to like her again.   If she carries on stringing Fry along when she's not interested I will really begin to hate her again, especially since a (temporarily) Higher Power showed them that they will have a great future together as a couple.

Overclockwise for example, really annoyed me.  Oh right, Leela, you think selling houses for for rich people is more meaningful and exciting then being an intergalactic starship captain, just because you have a bigger paycheck?     And if that really is the case, how about talking with Fry and working out something together?  And if your relationship is in a rut, work on it instead of randomly asking Fry opaque questions every now and then and shutting down when you don't like his answers.  As for the relationship being flat, Fry can't write you an opera, or sacrifice something he really really wants for your benefit, or wait by your bedside for weeks while you're in a coma or save your life on Valentine's day every day, you know.

I was thinking about foxes as in... the adorable and vicious widdle Vulpes Vulpeses.

Maybe they finally domesticated the fox after thousands of careful breeding, only for them to revert back to their primal instincts and start shredding the faces of moneyed up Upper East Side women and their fat spoiled offspring?

When re-watching original run eps, I think, wow, there are so many pop culture references that would of been pretty recent at the time of airing, but they don't seem to bother me, yet the ones in Season 6 do. I think that within a few years the pop culture will just breeze over when we re-watch Season 6. I also think Season 6 will be more liked, if you look at some the old original run review threads a lot of good eps got really bad reviews, but now they are generally liked. I think time is the key thing that affects Futurama episodes.
