Has anyone been to the Comic Convention in London? I'm going to the one this year at the end of October. How does it stand up against the recent one in San Diago? Can we get rare Futurama products at the expo?
Also, is there one in Manchester? What's that one like?
Thanks

Are you talking about the London Expo by the way, or something else?

I'm talking about this one:

So yeah, London Expo :/ Are there others too? That are good?

Is it good? I NEED to buy Futurama stuff. Also how do you find out the new figures that are released?

Ah, I see you're talking about the Expo in London. I went to a Comic Con in London earlier this year called Kapow, but that's more about comics and graphic novels than the Expo which is more about figures and merchandise (particularly Japanese merchandise)...

I have also been to the London Expo once but that was in 2008. It was ok if you like overcrowded sweaty nerd hangouts with overpriced food and drink. Yeah there was some nice merchandise there, but it wasn't a hardcore Comic Con, it was more about figures and other things like videogames. Also, a lot of people dressed up as their favourite characters which was quite fun to see...

I've never been to the Manchester Con if there is one, or the San Diego one. From what I've gathered the San Diego one is probably the best in the world...

London Expo is extremely hit and miss for me.  The last one was pretty crummy (missed the Futurama peopel by ten minutes, bumped into my ex, so that pretty much ruined the entire experience for me.)

Still, I picked my Amy figurine there for a fiver.  The merchandise is very much a mixed bag, but I will reccomend two things: either walk out of the expo and walk five minutes to the off license/mini mart, because food is as overpriced as Otis said.  Or better yet bring your own lunch.  A few expos ago, I joked with my friend that my cute new anime figurine actually cost less then her disgusting cat vomit noodle mess.  She laughed, until she realized it was true.

You should have told your ex you wanted him back, got him to buy you an over priced lunch, then dumped him again and carried on with your day.

As long as you can buy figures there that'll good.

fantafob knew that you were female, and you knew that they are male even though neither of you have gender listed in your profiles, interesting...

He never said I was female, just that I liked men!  And the plot thickens...

Speaking of which, I hope I bump into my ex outside the Krispy Kreme store tomorrow.  I haven't had those in ages...

Also she knew I was wise, which is the first time anyone has noticed.
Her avater implies she is female, although could be a gender-bender! And she likes Krispy Kreme, which we all know is female food.

That is true!  We all know that females of the species must guzzle copious amounts of sugary carbohydrates, to nourish their nag-glands.

But on the other hand I could just be an overweight male with no self control around sugar.

If it has sugar on it, I'll eat it.

I'm eating a bar of cooking chocolate as we speak.

Milk chocolate my ass.

You should be making a cake with that, not eating it. Make a Futurama cake like I saw around here, and deliver it to me no later than 5:30 so I can have it after my diner.

Speaking of sweet things, I seem to remember them having an American candy stand at the London Expo full of deliciously overpriced sugary treats!...

I love over-priced sugary treats, you can almost taste the wasted money.

"Wow!  Look at this chocolate bar!  It costs five pounds more then it would in Morrisons because it has a Korean boy band on the wrapper!"
