Bender tries to kill Fry, his best friend, out of nothing more then pure spite. While Bender has treated Fry awfully before, that was just going too far.
I didn't like that either, then the episode really picked up and Bender redemmened himself. Anyway, an episode where all the characters are Human actors, and the people watching at home are cartoons.

What if Dr Zoidberg had stayed working for Mom instead of quitting to work for the Professor?
Then the Professor would be a Yeti right now.

If it focused on Amy, she could become a nymphomaniac eating machine. I would like to see an episode that showed a bit more on Amy's extremely unhealthy relationship with food (she was a very fat child, and it seems her parents were pretty spiteful to her because of it, and I'm guessing she comfort ate even more to deal with their meanness. Now she seems to have got such a good figure by an absurd amount of self denial, and is just an extra hamburger from dissolving into a glut of nomming everything in sight.) It would be an interesting episode, as long as it played for as much comedy as possible and just a bit of drama. An eating disorder episode would feel WAY too after school special, while Amy eating suckling pig with ice cream is pretty hilarious. I could see it being funny, but she already kinda did that in The Prisoner of Benda, albeit in someone else's body which is arguably funnier...

What if the crew became rich?Leela- Becomes vain and selfish and ends up with a load of fake money grabbing friends Fry- Becomes something like what he was in Fishful of Dollars Bender- Ends up with too many upgrades (like a bigger antenna ), becomes too fake Hermes- Finds LaBarbara only loves him for his money Amy- Ends up just putting it in her Piggy Bank (and thats all that happens with her) Professor- Leaves PlanEx, and becomes obsessed with trying to bring Mom back (?) Zoidberg- Ends up with the most money but only spends it for good (homeless, etc.) Scruffy- Ends up getting ownership to Mom Corp. Lets say they become rich by Mom dying and giving Farnsworth a lot of money from her will or something and the crew get something like 2 million each amongst other things, it would start off with them enjoying it but had consequences each crew member (Except Scruffy and Zoidberg)

What if Fry becomes suicidal after losing all his money, so he wishes he had never been born? Then his guardian angel (aka Scruffy) would show him what life would look like in that case: Leela would be a spinster librarian, the Professor would be an alcoholic ex-con who accidentally killed a child with the bad medicine he mixed, Bender would be a tough bartender running a seedy nightclub, Amy would be a pickpocketing stripper, and none of them would recognize him. New New York would be called Pottersville, filled with unwholesome strip joints and pawn shops, instead of the family-values town it was when Fry was alive.
(At the end, before singing Auld Lang Syne, one of the orphans could say, "Look Daddy, everytime a bell falls, an angel gets its balls.")

It'll be 3 non-canon stories, but it's not an Anthology of Interest because it doesn't include the What If Machine. From what I understand, the wrap-around is the God Entity creating all these alternate versions of the world.
True. But nevertheless, I think that it's safe to put all four episodes (Anthology of Interest; Anthology of Interest II; Futurama Holiday Spectacular; Reincarnation) into a single group of non-canon mini-episode collections, differing mainly in their frame stories (if any). I expect that we will be seeing at least one new episode of this type every production season from now on. The writers seem to really enjoy writing them, with varying success. The upcoming episode of this group, Reincarnation, is probably the most innovative of the bunch, although it might get poor ratings for that very reason. People tend not to like something if it deviates too much from what they have become accustomed to, and this episode might be simply too big a departure from all the earlier episodes -- although Anthology of Interest was also a fairly big departure from the previous format when it first aired, and viewers really liked it, so who knows?

It'll be interesting to see why the God Entity creates these alternate versions, if he just does it out of randomness for the sake of the episode then BOOO!
