Having the villagers be Scottish is also a nice new twist on the typical Hungarian cliché. That accent sounded like a cross between Scottish and Hungarian to me. Was anyone reminded of this? (Yes, I know the McZongos were supposed to be Scottish/Hungarian.) Leela has only 205 bones instead of 206? Wonder how she lost one.
Maybe the structure of her skull is different, due to her having only one eye socket. Is there a doctor in the house who can give an opinion on this? (The rest of her bones should be humanoid.) The Local Group is a cluster of galaxies that the Milky Way and the Andromeda Galaxy belong to. Here's a map, courtesy of Wikipedia: EDIT: Someone already mentioned this on the Infosphere.Once again, a good episode, but not a great one. EDIT: Top of the post dance!

Bart the Mother, written by... DXC...
Interesting...interesting indeed...
Anyway, if the villagers like the fact that the Bone Vampires deboned the sheep...why were they upset about it at all in the first place? That's a terrible story inconsistency, when the resolution to the conflict completely contradicts the conflict itself.
no, it doesn't. since they killed off all of the creatures, their sheep no longer have any natural predators and bred like wildflowers. having a contained populace of the creatures would be a good thing. i'd also like to bring up something that bothered me in one of the gotfuturama reviews. wandy: Decent episode, easily forgettable. It's the little things that bother me, like the whole planet's inhabitants being white Scottish people. It just seems lazy to me. who says that they originated from that planet? how about a group of scots decided to inhabit their own planet. also, star trek: tos. need i say more?

7/10
Wasn't what I was expecting, but anyway, something I'm sick of every week:
'Leela wouldn't act like this...' 'Fry wouldn't say that...' 'Bender wouldn't do that...'
Can we please stop complaining about how the characters are acting? The show has changed, deal with it. Maybe Leela has always been like 'this', whatever 'this' may be, maybe we didn't get to see that side of her in the original run.
What he said! Really, you can't honestly expect for characters to act on the spot every episode or whatever. Just like with the show itself, it can't be the same as it was from season 1. It's just like comparing what you was 10 years ago and that you are now. Same with Futurama. It's just flow dynamics. Back on topic, the episode was really good. I can quite that others said, but there's no need for that. 10/10 from me, as always. Just glad that Futurama came back, so I dig every new episode with gusto.

Shouldn't she have more than just one less, considering her (and all the characters for that matter) have four less digits? ... Or is the lack of digits to make animation easier non-canonical?
That's actually a very good point. The 2 missing fingers should already be 8 bones less. Bringing us down to 198. Inside the eye socket there seems to be 4 bones as well. The surrounding ones I don't count for this, since they surround both eyes. So, that'd bring Leela down to already 194 bones. Now she has 205. That means the socket for her one eye must have 9 bones more than a regular person's eye socket.

I quite enjoyed this episode. Its not a great one, but it has more of the Futurama-esque jokes that I love, like the clucking Zuchinnis, and the Local Group Farmer's Market. And the "smallest whisky" coming in a fish tank? Marvelous! Also I loved the
The episode also suffered from a so so third act, but the first 2 were great (the farmer's market had the most laughs, and Fry raising his egg was very sweet, and for everyone saying all the characters have been out of character recently, Fry raising a random alien egg is totally the sort of thing he would do, especially since he did in a very childlike way.) The only way he felt out of character was his weird pro life speech.
The "strictly platonic friend" thing was funny, but 6B seems to have pretended all of the Fry/Leela relationship upgrades in 6A never happened. I really want to write to the writers (hurhur) and say: "Those jokes would have been funny in the original run. You keep telling us that Fry and Leela belong together, and they're supposed to be a couple/or dating. References like that are confusing and annoying. The "Fry pining after Leela" sctick is old now."
I also agree with whoever said Amy's voice sounds way off. Why is her voice so deep all of a sudden? (I noticed in one of the upcoming clips, Amy barely sounded like herself at all for a moment.) I don't think its because Lauren Tom is getting older, since in the Reincarnation clip, she seems to be doing a good job of doing a Sailor Moon high pitched squeak.
Anyway, good but not great episode, but this along with Mobius Dick feel a LOT more Futurama-y then previous episodes have been.
Also I loved the Amazonian callback even if it was a bit forced (maple syrup? Not sure why they sell maple syrup but I'll roll with it). I am going to greet everyone I know with "Hello, tiny man." Even if they are female or taller then me or both.

I really enjoyed the first act - Fry incubating an egg and looking after a monster as if it was a kitten was lots of fun. The Scottish planet wasn't as much fun, but it was decent. I'm going to nitpick here but that reference where Fry compares Mr. Peppy to the Rock was stupid. It made no sense. I doubt that in 1000 years anybody will want to watch some crappy movie from the Rock, nor even be aware of its existence. Nitpicking, I know - but stuff like this really annoys me - it just comes across as lazy writing. Also - if Leela and Fry have reverted back to "just friends" status, we really should have been given an organic reason for it. Leela is supposed to be in a relationship with Fry and when she only acknowledges it when it's convenient for her, it makes her look like a total bitch - which we know she isn't. In the earlier episodes she had some justification for brushing off Fry - now that she is in an established relationship with him, it just won't fly for her to pretend she and Fry are just friends just so she can flirt with somebody else. It makes her an unlikable character. They call them throwaway lines for a reason - because they're rubbish and don't have any contextual basis for being said. It's these little things that annoy me the most! Anyway. 7/10. Decent episode overall.

Lola and Jolene? Is that what you call your boobs?
Shut up while I put Lola and Jolene into a bucket, and fill their tank up with some nice Baily's.
