It's just a random guess:
- Maybe he could just see to that point in the Future where his brain cells still did exist.
(So, he could have seen up to the point when he drank the bottle, but not beyond).
- Also, being able to see the Future does not have to mean he is completely immune towards mistakes. He might have seen the scene were Fry and Bender were supposed to be shot, no one else was there, and he drank the bottle. He might have assumed that information enough, assessing it as sufficient proof that his plan did work, and just not looking any further (which is imhO the most realistic interpretation).

I don't know if anyone's mentioned this yet, but I really don't like how it was predicted that Bender would die if Fry shot him. Bender's been shot MANY MANY times (see IWGY) and none of those times did he die, or even seem affected. I don't know, it might've been explained or something, but it kinda bugs me.

Well..Bender's toughness is subject to episode gags:
E.g. he survived a dive in lava, while Roberto seemed to be able to stab him with a simple knife. Or in IWGY, machine gunfire hammered through him, causing nothing but a nuisance (though probably a painful one).

Ohhhhhh....ok, thanks. I had a feeling that it might be for laughs.

Also, the prediction was wrong anyway, and it clearly didn't kill him.

We all know Fry isn't particularly bright, so it probably didn't occur to him that Bender has survived plenty of bullet "wounds".

Well...the prediction showed Bender being hit by a gun, and going down. So, it was quite correct. The mistake was on the oracle's part, interpreting that scene automatically as "dead".

Also, Bender revealed the bulletproof vest in his compartment. Of course it was there for humors sake, but it also showed precautions had to be made to survive a potentially fatal shot;)
(Or, to cut a long story short: Bender will not survive a gun wound, as soon as fatal danger has to be an important plot device ; )

I thought this was pretty damn decent. It started great, classic Futurama. Although it went downhill from there, it picked up again near the end. It was too heavy on the Minority Report stuff though, shouldn't have been the basis for the whole episode. And that ending, ugh, but it earns props for that great start.

8/10
