My ratings for this week's assignment:

Route: b6.5/10
LLLiS: 7/10
Bicyclops: 9/10

Obviously, I liked Bicyclops the best out of the bunch. Not that the others were terrible; I just felt like they were lacking that "punch" that ABBfT has. And I know a lot of people love LLLiS, but I dunno...the pacing just felt very slow to me, and the lack of music was disconcerting (as I have mentioned elsewhere, so I'll shut up about that now!). Plus, I'm really not a huge Nibbler fan, and he played a large part in this episode.

Man, I do not get the premise of this thread at all...

Either you need to figure out a way to nest topics at a third level...or you have got to explode the entire access page and start over.

I didn't get around to watching this past week's episodes, so hopefully I find time to cram six in this coming week. For those of you who haven't procrastinated like me, here are the next three episodes:

10/02/11 - 10/08/11
1. A Clone of My Own
2. Put Your Head on My Shoulder
3. Anthology of Interest I

Three nice, solid season two episodes. Again, it ought to be a good week (and doubly good for me, I suppose, since I'm a week behind).

Yup, that was a good week. My ratings are as follows:
A Clone of my Own 8/10
Put Your Head on My Shoulder 9/10
Anthology of Interest I 10/10
Season 2 was so fucking great. By far my favourite.

@ Gorky: You be a good student and finish your assignments. I will instead waste my time with cartoons and video games since there aren't any assignments at my college. Sure, there are exams coming up, but I'm probably going to pass them and bad grades won't be any problem until some point in the future... like 3 or 4 years from now... go to hell, tomorrow-me!

1. A Clone of My Own 8/10
2. Put Your Head on My Shoulder 9/10
3. Anthology of Interest I 8/10

I like how three Season 2 eps ended up in the same week. Nice. All were good, classic Futurama. Season 2 was solid. I still think 4 is my favorite though.

1. A Clone of My Own - 8/10
2. Put Your Head on My Shoulder - 9.5/10
3. Anthology of Interest I - 9/10

So overall, all good episodes. This was a pretty good week.

At least the two season six episodes are among the better ones; I share your lack of enthusiasm for "Bender's Game," though.

Anyway, here are the relevant links for this week:

Week of 10/09/11 - 10/15/11
1. Bender's Game
2. The Mutants Are Revolting
3. Reincarnation

Oh, I was mostly mourning the lack of diversity, but that's random for you. The episodes themselves are actually pretty decent. Reincarnation and TMAR are among the best Season 6 episodes. I haven't watched Bender's Game in a while and kinda look forward to it, even though it wasn't the strongest movie.

Those are two of the best Season 6 episodes, though, and I will willingly and eagerly rewatch them.

I watched "Bender's Game" three months ago, and I honestly don't think my opinion of it will change much after a re-watch. I'm mixed about it, and overall (in my opinion) it's the worst of the four movies. I was thinking of skipping it, but in the spirit of the Random Order Test, I'll re-watch it anyway.

I will agree that TMAR and Reincarnation are two great Season 6 episodes. I'll definitely look forward to watching both of them.

I also watched it a couple of months ago, and I'm none too eager to watch it again. It's easily the least enjoyable movie, and probably a bottom twenty-five episode for me overall.

'Course, considering I'm a solid week and a half behind on my episode-viewin', by the time I actually get to BG, it'll probably be, you know, mid-December. So at least I don't yet have to subject myself to the pain of a rewatch.

A Clone of My Own 10/10
Put Your Head on My Shoulder 9.5/10
Anthology of Interest 9/10

Season Two is just very solid and good...

Beat me to it, bendingunit! Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course. ;)

And yay for a season four episode being mixed in with two (consecutive, for some odd reason) season six episodes. At least they're not all from the new run.

No, I hadn't noticed; thanks for pointing that out!  I don't think I've seen Bender Should Not Be Allowed on Television more than once, and I've forgotten a lot of details.  I have been slacking, mostly because it's difficult for be to watch arbitrary eps 'cause I don't want to buy the DVDs but I don''t have a Blu-Ray player yet.

In the early days of my Futurama fandom, when only the first two seasons were out on DVD in the U.S., I managed. Mostly I tried to catch seasons three and four when they aired on Adult Swim, which was kind of difficult considering I was eleven and the episodes were on after my bed time. But I stuck to it, damn it, and you whippersnappers can, too!

Anyway, here are this week's episodes...

Week 10/23/11 - 10/29/11
1. Fry and the Slurm Factory
2. Raging Bender
3. Bender Gets Made

Interestingly, I rated every episode exactly two points lower than bendingunit6.

Week of 10/30/11 - 11/05/11

I like Flight to Remember, but I am a bit underwhelmed with the prospect of rewatching the other two. Though the notion of reopening the Holiday Spectacular rantfest is probably even more unappealing.

I don't hate the Holiday Spectacular, and I actively enjoy "A Taste of Freedom"--still, I agree that AFtR is the only great episode of those three. ('Course, this is all irrelevant, as I am still ridiculously behind on this rewatch. I plan on catching up over Thanksgiving break; it ought to be a fun time.)

Anyway, here are this week's episodes...

Week of 11/06/11 - 11/12/11
1. The Beast With a Billion Backs (There was no definitive or clearly-marked review thread for this one that I could find, so I just went with the one Nixorbo linked to at the end of another closed, and presumably superfluous, review thread.)
2. Insane in the Mainframe (This one was also tricky to find; I went with a thread that Teral linked to in yet another closed thread.)
3. My Three Suns

With the possible exception of Billion Backs (which I think I enjoy more than most), I'd say those are three solid episodes. Hell, "Insane in the Mainframe" may just be my favorite episode of all time.

2. The Problem With Popplers
3. In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela

If Randi or another wonderful mod could maybe rename and/or add a poll to the Popplers review thread, that might be cool. It was the closest thing I could find to a preexisting review thread, and I didn't want to be opening another one all willy-nilly.
