That clip from the video game segment was awesome. So that makes two segments I'm really pumped for (this'n and the Fleischer one), and one that I don't have strong feelings about either way (the anime one). Methinks this will rival AOIs I and II in the non-canon quality department (the Craptacular doesn't even deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence).

I am getting really excited for tomorrow's episode, the different parts looks so much more promising than ever!
And the end of the video made me laugh out loud. It's gonna be good!

Some more details on Reincarnation. Please be warned that this article contains major, major spoilers. Also, we now have names for all three segments. - Colorama
- Future Challenge 3000
- Action Delivery Force
And as previously discussed here: All three segments indeed revolve around a central plot element: the Diamondium comet. Although the article above suggests this will be some kind of story arc, and not the same story in each segment

http://www.emmys.com/shows/futuramaYippee! Futurama won both of the Emmys they were nominated for! I had a good feeling that "The Late Philip J. Fry" would win for outstanding animated program, but I was pleasantly shocked to see Moe win as well for his voice acting. Congrats all around, even when Futurama only airs 13 episodes in a year, it still manages to further the creative arts! Next time, Billy West for the best voice-over performance!

So, should this thread be replaced by a "news between the runs" thread? The 2011 run has ended.

I think "Reincarnation" was easily the most brilliantly innovative episode of 6B, but I don't know if that's what Emmy voters are looking for, exactly. (I refer you to what happened to the Simpsons writers in season seven, when they submitted that year's Treehouse of Horror episode--which had an impressive-for-the-time CG segment--instead of one of the more emotionally-resonant episodes in a season that was full of 'em, and wound up losing to, like, a Pinky and the Brain episode.) That said, an episode of an animated show that is itself a parody of three different animation styles may be too great for the Emmy folks to pass up.
If not "Reincarnation," though, I'd say that "Cold Warriors" or "Overclockwise" would have the best shot, in terms of their emotional content.

Good news! Truly one of the best episodes, and the best animated show episode (that I've seen anyway) during that year.
I think Reincarnation could potentially win next time. The thing is, that Treehouse of Horror was more or less just nominated because of the 3D animation, which they thought would be enough, but despite that animation it really wasn't one of the better episodes that season (or even one of the better THOH Simpsons episodes). I mean, it was fine, but there were so many better episodes, emotional resonance or not. The following year they won for the "Homer's Phobia" episode, which wasn't really emotionally resonant but had a good satirical thrust, as well as just being a vastly superior episode. And season 7 could have rightly won for at least like half of its episodes.
Basically, Reincarnation could win because it's really, really good; not just well-animated in the different styles (though it is), but also ridiculously clever and funny, and very ambitious. I'm not sure if it would be my go-to choice, but I don't think it would be a bad one.

I think they will admit Cold Warriors, Overclockwise or Reincarnation, and like Gorky says, Reincarnation is probably the one with the biggest chance of winning.

Not sure if someone mentioned this already. It will be airing on weekends on some major networks, in my and leia's area that would be the CW.
