Maybe Bender does get modified in two eps running. It's quite possible, I mean he's proved to be quite an adaptable robot. He kinda gets modified anime style in Reincarnation as well, so I guess it's kinda a hat-trick of mods you could say...

So, I guess Bongo's picture of Bender was the one for Overclockwise... Indeed, or possibly Reincarnation. I suspect Overclockwise is the most likely candidate though. I wonder how they messed up the preview picture though ...

Yeah that's what I mean, a lot of people were like 'When was that in the episode?', until someone came along and said there were more calendar images during the credits.

God damn Eric Rogers is funny:
Wanna know what's dumb? 3 mil of u watch a Family Guy rerun instead of a new Futurama, which got 1.5 mil. That's dumb. That's all. #dumb

At the very least I think it's unfair of the reviewer to be annoyed by "The Tip of the Zoidberg" and "Cold Warriors" structuring their flashbacks similarly; the episodes themselves were produced far apart from one another, and it's Comedy Central's fault that they aired consecutively. (I also disagree that "The Tip of the Zoidberg" was better than "Cold Warriors" overall, but that's neither here nor there.) And I agree with Eric Rogers that it's ridiculous for Family Guy reruns to be drawing such huge numbers when a new (and damn good) episode of Futurama is airing at the same time. I hope you tweeted something supportive back at him, Danny.

Can you tell Eric Rogers something for me? He's absolutely right. However, the writers do need to start reading PEEL more obsessively. Not so they can cram in a ton of fanservice, but so they can start to see which bits and pieces of certain episodes don't work for the fan community as a whole. That might help raise the quality of the show (hopefully pushing our graphs back into Season 1 territory), which would pull in more viewers. Things like swearing for the sake of it, pop-culture references which are going to be painfully dated a year or two from now, and for some reason leaving out all the little background bonuses and nerd jokes which we came to love in the first two seasons are one reason the show's appeared to lose something in the translation from FOX to Comedy Central. It's not a major nitpick and I'm certainly not screaming "New Futurama sucks!" or "Everything is worse now!", but if they want to reel in more viewers, they've got to take a look at what they were doing in Season 1 that they're not anymore, and what they're doing now that they weren't in Season 1. Then they need to do something about it. I'm not sure exactly how you'll fit all of that in one tweet. Good luck. Oh my God, IGN are so dumb.
That's been pretty obvious for a while now. Neutopia wasn't too bad (it's still one of the better ones of 6B for me) but anyplace that votes the FHS as a 9/10 is clearly out of touch with reality and not a source that people take seriously anymore (I haven't for quite some time).

(I also disagree that "The Tip of the Zoidberg" was better than "Cold Warriors" overall, but that's neither here nor there.) The very fact that IGN would mark down an episode for having flashbacks two weeks running when it's CC's fault and not Futurama's just goes to show they have no credibility in their reviews. If they can't even work out something simple like that to get their facts right before marking down an episode then they're just inexcusably pathetic. Also, their opinions suck anyway, those morons ...

Their review is bad and they should feel bad. Meh, a lot of it is CC's fault. Is there any explanation anywhere as to why they are aired out of order? Maybe there is some reason we don't know of. 'When Family Guy reruns get more views than brand new Futurama, you know society is doomed.'

The IGN reviews are pretty uninspiring (to be honest, I don't know why anyone would read them outside of game reviews, or reviews for the technical aspects of DVD/Blu-Ray releases), but assuming that two episodes that aired close together where also produced that way isn't really unfair. Most shows do air that way for the most part, or with only very minor fluctuations in the ordering. Futurama is one of the few reasonably successful shows I can think of that airs in such a weird way. And even then, ep. 18 and 24 isn't really that far apart, so I could still see that being a fair criticism, even though in this case I don't really agree with it. Even if they'd aired in order, it's only a difference of a few weeks with the same basic structure/themes being repeated. I just don't mind because I think it happened to work quite well in both cases and still produced worthwhile stories.
Oh, and in case Eric Rogers is reading this: for my money, the current show is better than season 1 and I'd prefer you guys not return to that, please. Now, seasons 3 and 4 might be a different story.

It seemed to me that they marked it down in particular for having flashback scenes two weeks running, but had there been a gap of a few weeks I don't think they'd have done so. Also, in regards to knowing the correct order of the eps, literally half a minute search on the internet would have told them the correct production order. Perhaps a bit of research before submitting an editorial review wouldn't have gone amiss...
