At The Simpsons panel, someone asked about a Futurama/Simpsons crossover and whilst they said it wouldn't happen, apparently they drafted a Futurama writer to write an episode set 30 years in the future for the coming season.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the whole 'licking head' thing will work, I just imagine them going on a drug trip and imagining that they are in that time zone, not actual time travel.

And the God Entity in Reincarnation sounds sweet, MG did say he wanted to explore his character more, and that tiny cameo in BBS was nothing...

Yeah, I don't think it's going to be actual time-travel. Although the British-ised New New York concept art we've seen suggests otherwise (ramifications of time-travel).

Not sure why they would hallucinate just from licking the head of a dead president tho? I don't like it when time travel is involved too much honestly. I'm guessing it is not possible to come up with a backwards time travel device, unless that code from BBS has been rediscovered. Ok, I have a headache now. Let the show begin.

And it must be possible to come up with some form of backwards time travel device, how else would they go back in time in tonight's ep?

This artwork is pretty fantastic, and I think the softer colors work MUCH better for the anime artstyle.   I love Sailor Moon, so I am digging the Sailor Amy.

This artwork is pretty fantastic, and I think the softer colors work MUCH better for the anime artstyle.   I love Sailor Moon, so I am digging the Sailor Amy.  Still I have to admit I was quite surprised to find out her eyes were purple.  I thought they would be brown like most people of Chinese descent, but I am guessing light purple eyes are more expressive/distinctive then dark brown ones.

Not so much the quote, which has spoilers for stuff dating back half a decade. That first bit seems like something that's possibly happened in miracle day though, which has only been on cable here.

Edit: Had we seen colour pictures of Johnny from Mobius Dick yet? I don't think so.

Yup, a clip of Bender pretending to throw Mr. Peppy a ball, but he keeps it in his hand and laughs, then Mr. Peppy jumps for the ball ripping Bender's arm off in the process. Also, concept art for Mr. Peppy and a few pages of Storyboard about Fry and Bender going to a Drive-Thru in the PE Ship.

Totally digging Sailor Amy.   Sailor Moon works out pretty well for Futurama, since the manga/anime contains a lot of sci fi elements, as well as references to astronomy and astrology (what with the show revolving around the magical guardians of each of the major planets in the Solar System).

Correct, we've only seen Concept Art of the Triton Base Camp and and Storyboard pages of the Professor and Zoidberg hunting Yetis or something.

It's possible there was some footage in the early promo reels that Comedy Central was showing (a few of them stretched as far as Mobius Dick, like Fry telling Leela that she's exhibiting symptoms of illin'), although unless we've now seen all that footage (I'm not sure where to find that promo again) there's no real way of telling for sure.

Also, didn't they show a new reel at Comic Con? I don't think that's shown up on the web just yet.

Well, this could be the Scruffy origin episode, and that may be the secret somehow.

Scruffy is a (shaved) Yeti child whose mother they killed, so they raised him together?

This would be similar to Loki as recently seen in Thor

That might just be ridiculous enough to happen, so I've spoiler-tagged it.

Also Australian Futurama premiers are now on Tuesdays instead of Wednesdays.

If we see some Yetis, I wonder if Amy will play a big role in the episode?  After all she is the only planet express crewmember  who speaks Yeti.
