Some Volume 6 DVD news, including cover art:
http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Futurama-Volume-6/15695
There might be some very mild spoilers in the "blurb" at the top (nothing that isn't known, though).
The featurette on Christopher Tyng sounds awesome.
That looks awesome. I like that they stay with the style of Volume 5, I'm always annoyed when they switch around. edit: I don't know if this has been posted here, but check out this thread concerning a Patrick Verrone interview with some brand new footage.

ooh, nice cover art! I'm ashamed to say I have yet to buy any season 6 DVDs . But I will eventually. I'm also very glad I live in the US and have Cable TV so I don't have to watch these Episodes online, cause that just sucks... As far as news goes, I'm hoping we get something new from Comic Con this year. But I'm not sure what else they can really talk about, besides upcoming episodes.

I often have very vivid dreams wherein Hollywood hotshots are defending their artistic choices to thirty-year old, sexless Futurama nerds.
Assuming that I'm not already, can I be one of those sexless Futurama nerds you dream about? ... Seattle developer partners with Futurama, unleashes Head-in-a-Jar iPhone app
Read it and weep.
I read it, and I cried when I searched for the app on my iPhone and couldn’t find it. The app does look awesome though so I’ll keep looking for it in the future... Also, on a side note I noticed at the bottom of that link there is a picture of the store Borders with a headline "How much do real bookstores matter anymore?". In the UK all of the Borders stores are gone as far as I’m aware. I was under the assumption that this was also the case worldwide, but seeing that suggests it isn't. I see from your profile that you don't live in the US, but to anyone that does, are there still Borders in the US?...

are there still Borders in the US?...
for a couple of months, there are. They're having a huge going-out-of-business sale right now. I'm going to the one down the street today to see how much of their science fiction section I can carry home on my bicycle.
Only 10%, I waded through the huge (and I mean huge) lines yesterday. It really isn't worth it until books get to be 30% off or more considering the generous coupons they used to give out and you could probaly order it online for cheaper, but I digress... Monopoly looks cool! To the Stockroom! ::whoosh:: Ooo the Season 6 cover art does look purdy! I love the colors!

Can somebody tell me about what happened during Futurama panel at comic con 2011?
It's happening right now. Some chick just Tweeted this: Original intent of Scruffy was that he would be crushed by the ship every time it landed. #SDCC FuturamaOkay, now someone says there is a Bender drawing contest, and they officially announced the Head-In-A-Jar app. John DiMaggio put: Tweeting from the stage!

I like the sound of this one: Hermes starts chopping body parts off and replacing them with cybernetic components to be more efficient! and the two you mentioned both have a lot of potential too. None of those story ideas strike me as amazing in the same way that The Late Philip J. Fry did when I first heard about it, though.

The episode where sounds like it could be fantastic - it just sounds like such a logical development for his character.
