Maybe it's just the camera angle...? :p

I will watch this episode again this weekend. Perhaps my opinion might change upon another viewing.

Also, as I was explaining to leiapadme77 last weekend, I was eating Panda Express noodles at the time and it was like ALL VEGETABLES. It was very irritating.

This was a bottom-5 episode for me. I found the humor to be some of the stalest this side of the average newspaper comics page.

If I wanted hackneyed gender-stereotype gags, I'd dig up some old Cathy strips. I'm surprised there wasn't a joke about leaving the toilet seat up. Or was there? It kind of all blurred together.

... How does the vegetable to noodle ratio of your meal have to do with the quality of the episode? I am so confuzzled...

Kryten: don't believe it went that far. However, I'm sure there were a few pages dropped from the gender swapping section of the episode that probably had that joke in there. I'll be giving it and some older episodes another viewing this weekend with my five day weekend to see if I really didn't like it as much as I think I do.

Beats me too. I think the veggies are the best part of Chinese food, but I'm weird that way.

basing an episode on 1950's stereotypes has been a staple of this show. 'roswell that ends well', elements of 'war is the h-word' and 'amazon woman in the mood', 'the scary door', ect.

maybe that was why i rank 'neutopia' among some of my favorites. *

* yes, it is early; but, i've seen it over 5 times already. another top episode in the new run is "a clockwork origin". different strokes for different folks, i suppose. those episodes were made just as well, while maintaining it's own feel, as some original classics.

They already did it in I Second that Emotion:

Bender, how could you flush nibbler down the toilet?!

Well first, I had to lift the seat -that was the first little annoyance. Am I right, men?

It was an alright episode but it's a shame the gender swap was in the last 6 minutes I mean why tease us with all this pictures and desc's if it's only on screen for the final act!?!?!

Once again, the writers did not plan how the show was promoted. Comedy Central was the entity that made us think that a large portion of the show was about gender switching.

Beanoz4 never said it was the writers, Fnord. It is perfectly legitimate to complain about how the show was promoted.

I liked it but would have preferred the misogynistic retorts to be more subtle rather than over the top and somewhat out of character (for everyone except the prof).

Just seen it..

in short:

This is practically the worst Futurama episode ever... maybe there is some other worst that i cant renember right now.. but it was anoying, non-funny and full fo stupid cliches and jokes for no reason..

The entire episode is basically stereotypical gender lame jokes, there is not a single good joke in it..  this episode could simply be deleted and i wouldnt mind a bit..

of course this is my humble personal opinion

Danny, what was the point of that? I disagree greatly with Javier Lopez' opinion on this episode, but I would never say something as lame as "I disagree because you are you, and I couldn't care less". What was the point of that except to be mean?

Wait, why I am I even making this post then?

Yes, so if he says his opinion about Benderama is positive, I would agree. If it was negative, I would disagree and vice versa.

But you do understand that 2 = 2, correct?

What you say is you disagree with Javier's opinion, simply because it is his opinion, no matter what it is. If such is the case, you would always disagree with it, no matter what it is.

Get it?

Aki, just drop it.  It is clear that Danny is either trolling or just being as stupid as he probably is.  He somehow believes that 'français' is spelt with a capital F in French and calls it 'perfection'.

No, there's only one definition of perfection: being perfect. It's literally in the word. And being perfect means not having any mistakes. And, in French, that means not capitalizing "français". You lose, you get nothing. Good day sir.

Fair point...

Of course as i said that was just my personal review, certain jokes and certain scripts will allways amuse some people and will not amuse others...  Futurama goal is to entertain everyone, not just me.. so if i dont find fun in some jokes but other people do for me its job done , good news overall..
