I agree with futurefreak, for the most part. The only episodes I would really suggest you watch in order are "The Day the Earth Stood Stupid," "Roswell That Ends Well," and "The Why of Fry." And it would probably be more fun if you watched "I Second that Emotion" before "Leela's Homeworld." There's a subtle continuity to the rest of the episodes, I suppose ("The Devil's Hands are Idle Playthings" references something from "Parasites Lost"; "Love and Rocket" has a cameo by a prominent component of "I Dated a Robot"), a sense of time passing--but you're not really going to be spoiling anything for yourself if you watch the series out of sequence.
