Otis are you the type of guy who takes all the lead out of someone's mechanical pencil so when they push down for more lead they are surprised? I bet you're the same guy who doesn't use a coaster for your drink, either. YOU REBEL THAT MAKES ME SO ANGRY  :laff:

Yes, and I'm the sort of person who throws his mobile phone onto the table and says "Checkmate" as the dominos fall over and land in the glass of beer which is actually cat pee mixed with Rohypnol :D...

I've been going through last season's commentaries, and Lrrreconcilable Ndndifferences has one of my favorites just because of the continuous Tracy Morgan/Jay Leno running gag.

I watch Futurama with the commentaries more often than not. Most of the commentaries are hilarious and/or insightful. "Amazon Women In The Mood" is my absolute favourite commentary!

Whenever I do a Futurama run, I watch each episode without and then with commentary. Sure, it takes twice as long, but it's worth it!

Okay, I've come up with something else, I'm going to watch the commentaries for my favourite / the best eps, I just watched TWOF with it on.

Billy West - 'You should be hung upside down and beat with an Organic Carrot.' :laff:

One of my favorite things about the commentary for "The Why of Fry" is, of course, purely shippy. It's at the end, when Maurice LaMarche asks if there will ever be a ninety-minute episode where they "actually get Fry and Leela together"--and, without missing a beat, DXC and MG say, "Yes." I mainly enjoy it because, about six years later, that pretty much happened with "Into the Wild Green Yonder."

I don't see how that happens in either of the episodes. I mean, sure, they get together, but in BBS the viewer isn't supposed to understand it until the end, and in ITWGY they don't get together until the very end.

No, in ITWGY they are always trying to contact each other and stuff but they have to be secret cause of the sides they are on.

Yes, but they aren't a couple until the very end. Or maybe they are, but they don't realise that they love each other as more than friends until the end. They just think they are close friends, and aren't obviously "together".

I've listened to the commentaries for the episodes... probably multiple times.  They're the best commentaries for anything that I can think of, and I usually compare commentaries for other things to them.

However, I don't think I've ever done a proper 'commentary run'.  It'd probably be pretty fun.  I did do a Futuramamathon with the original 72 run several years ago though.  It'll take more than a day to do either one now though. :sigh:

I have listened to all the commentaries and that is the only way I watch episodes now. Futurama commentaries are superb compared to other shows. My brother gave me a set of Family Guy DVDs for Christmas one year, no idea why. They sat on my shelf unopened until a few weeks ago when I was bored and decided to watch some episodes with commentaries. They barely talked, and when they did it literally had nothing to do with the episodes, and had nothing funny or entertaining to say. Really makes you appreciate how enjoyable all the Futurama ones are.

I watched the entire series (albeit slightly out of order) once. That is to say, I watched all of the movies, then Seasons 3 and 4, then Seasons 1 and 2. Still not entirely sure why I did it that way, and it was kind of a bummer since Season 2 is the only I got used and some of the episodes wouldn't play all the way through. On the whole though, it's definitely worth doing.

grrr, I haven't even heard most of the commentaries. I bought most of the early seasons on iTunes. I rented DVDs of some of 4 and 5 and all the movies, so I've heard those, but I feel like I am totally missing out. ah well.

Broadcast seasons? No. All of production season four is contained on the Volume 4 DVD. I don't know if iTunes does it differently, but they very well may.

Checking out iTunes now, the few episodes of season six that I downloaded last year are classified as season seven, and the 6B episodes are classified as season eight. Looks like iTunes does go with the broadcast seasons, not the DVD volumes or production seasons.

What spira meant is that they come in Volumes, then they put all the Volumes together in a boxset and that is the entire Season. I have the older version of Season 1, which is 3 volumes, and then the newer Seasons 2-4 have 4 volumes each. ;)

Yeah those are the top two right there. While not all of them are great I absolutely love the commentaries. I really need to pick up this last season and listen to them, I miss those. One of my favorite commentaries is A Pharaoh to Remember because of John DiMaggio and Billy West. God they are awesome.

I've decided to not watch every episode with the commentary on, but if I feel like watching a certain ep, I will watch it, then watch it again with the commentary on.

I'm definately gonna listen to all the commentaries on the Season 6A Blu-Ray. ;)

Oh, wait, this is about you. Why do I care? Go for it if you have the time. I should do it sometime, but sometimes I just don't have the patience with some of those commentaries.

I pretty much only watch them with commentaries now, unless I got the itch for adventure classic episodes, which I might soon because I haven't seen them in a good while.

Same here, there's a lot to be learned by turning on the commentaries and they usually quiet down for the really funny/important parts anyway. I've probably seen each commentary 5 times by now but then again, I have no life.

I can't see why you think viewing them without commentary is an option, Danny. Get it for its full value at least. They are all pretty much worth listening.

Look at it like this.

In a world where wireless mice exist, why choose a wire mouse? In a world where an online wikipedia is at your fingertips, why buy an Encarta cd rom? In a world where Futurama episode commentaries exist, why not listen to them? I think I've made my point.
