'Möbius Dick' is ineligible due to being a production season 6B episode.

I do think that a number of 6B episodes deserve a place on the list, but since the voting started before 6B started airing, it was decided not to include any of them in the voting.

I am sure that 'Reincarnation', 'Law & Oracle', 'Möbius Dick' and 'Overclockwise' would have been strong candidates for some spot on the top 18.

See, that 6B thing may alter the poll. Cause when we're getting down to the 30th or 40th best episode, people are gonna start voting for 6B and 7A eps, but they're gonna be down in the shitty ep pile. Not that there are many shitty eps, but yeah.

It is annoying, I agree.  But it is probably best to think of this as a "Best of the first 6 1/2 production seasons of Futurama" list, with the later episodes in some parallel dimension or something.

Or we can just make a "Best of the last *Insert number of season from season 6B onwards here* of Futurama" when the show ends/gets cancelled again.

No, I wasn't really joking.  I think a lot of episodes are lamer or have a lot less funny moments than "That's Lobstertainment."  I will never understand the outright hatred for the episode.  Harold Zoid may suck as a character (to those who know nothing about Harold Lloyd, especially) but the premise and jokes of the actual episode are well done.  Boxy Robot has it's biggest part, Calculon stars in a powerhouse performance, and Bender's alter-ego Boiler makes a brief appearance.  If you hate it just because everyone else does, that's fine too.  Just like Marisa Tomei.

That's fair enough. It's not a terrible episode. I doubt it'll rank high on this list, but it does have redeeming qualities.

I agree that the hatred it receives is exaggerated. But just because an episode isn't as bad as everyone says and doesn't suck as much as some others do, that doesn't mean it's supposed to be in the Top 20. If you see that differently, that's okay, but since this is a thread that is supposed to be about the consensus of all PEELers, I don't see the point in nominating an episode where odds are you're gonna be the lone man rooting.

Edit: I also like some episodes that most others don't, but I stick with compromise suggestions.

I think people should nominate and vote according to what they consider to be the next best episode left rather than what they think the group consensus is.

Hey all, I am glad you continued the thread while I was away...I was in a bad place mentally the last few months, but hopefully, I plan on being back for awhile.  Normally I would have liked to give notice so you could have jumped to this other thread, but what happened, happened abruptly.  I don't want to get into it, but I should be back.

Or we can just make a "Best of the last *Insert number of season from season 6B onwards here* of Futurama" when the show ends/gets cancelled again.

I already have an idea on how to make this work...but it won't be implemented until all episodes have been slotted in the original list.
