Question for "War is the H Word"

Hi.
As a viewer from Germany, i am afraid, that i didn't understood the last word Bender said, before the bomb exploded.
Was it "antiqueing"? If so, then what the H-Word does it mean?

It's something disreputable Antique Dealers do to relatively new furniture to make it look old...

OK no idea what relevance this had to Bender's final utterance before the bomb went off, but there you go - that's what it means!

Antiqueing is what you're doing when you go from antique shop to antique shop looking for quaint items to buy. Something that Bender would never do... he'd just steal 'em.

And this should be number 300 for me. 60% of the way there!

The H word meant "Hell" as in- War is Hell (a take on 'life is hell' Matt groenings daily newspaper comic)

Now I'm really confused. Poonaniman says antiquing is making new things look old, so they can be sold as antiques, Kryten says it's sinply shopping for antiques. Now what is the right answer?

ok they are both right.  it depends on the context.  since bender said the word alone we cant be sure which meaning it is in this case.

according to the dictionary it means "to cause to resemble an antique"  This isn't always done to scam people.  A lot of people do it to be crafty. 

the sense of "going shopping for antiques" is more modernly used i think, more of a slang.  Where i live we have a lot of antique stores and so people use that word a lot.  you go all day and hit all the different stores (and possibly auctions) to see what kinds of cool stuff and good deals you can get.

War is the H-word is a nod at the old saying War is hell ... Has nothing to do with  matt groenings old comic strip (The strip may have been named after the saying but not the other way around) that is all

Maybe they spell that word different in the future. Like there maybe a new spelling for every word soon....(Evil starts daydreaming of new spellings....what a nightmare!)
