Okay, Most of you have probably bumped into a topic like this before, But here I go.
  If you were Matt Groening and wanted to create a new animated series, What Would it be about and Who Would ya get to do some voices?

  Cartoon Name: Bloody Theories
  Characters: Itchy, Scratchy.
  About: Basiclly, Itchy and Scratchy and a  mix of treehouse of horrors, On weekly.

I would create a series exactly the same as Futurama, with any other name to avoid copyright problems... and sell it to ANY OTHER network. Not Fox for gads sake.

Again I'm getting that feeling that somebody is trying to boost their post count.


Maybe they star in their own music video because Zoidberg finds a "new sound" that appeals to people all over the galaxy.  The group could be called "Zoidberg and the Blowfish" or something.  They go on intergalactic tour, and become famous.  After a while people start to get tired of, and ultimately hate the group.  They all go back to their regular jobs.

I got it!! It can be black and white like FutureFreak said, and everything is really fake like in those old thirties future movies.  None of you probably know what the heck I'm talking about, but if you do you'll probably think it's really stupid.  If any of you have seen that episode of Mad TV where Will Saso and two other guys fly around in their jetpacks, and it's really fake.  those old movies always take place in 1986, and have all these cool inventions,and the father of the family wears a funky suit and goes to work in a jet pack.  THe little boy in the family has a little space dog.

As for the simpsons I do agree they are past their used by date, but dont bring back futurama it would be ruined. Matt should wipe the slate clean cancel the simpsons and start something new.

I agree with Teesside.  If I were Matt Greoning I would have The Simpsons cancelled, and bring back Futurama.  But only Futurama would be on a different station and not FOX.

Then The Simpsons can be replaced with "The FOX Sunday Night Movie!"

Sadly, Matt Groening has no control over The Simpsons.  He couldn't cancel it even if he wanted to.

Exactly.  Matt Groening won't cancel The Simpsons, if only because he CAN'T.  He has absolutely NO control over it.  In fact he's hardly ever had anything to do with it beyond being a name in the opening credits.

Anyways, Groening has seemed to indicate that he wants to do some new things (suggestions being something about rock and roll and/or a show revolving around teenagers), but I guess we'll see.

i don't really know what i want at all. you see, i'm the worst sort of fan. i want thim to keep making futurama for a while, yes thats it. The simpsons, its true it should be canceled, the new ones are piss poor, now all the episodes play off the idea that the characters have done everything. its weak, if it were a person i would murder it, i would go to jail but it'd be worth it.
