Leela sure is hot in that clothing. I hope Amy is with in that age as well. :s And I love Leela's kleptomania, and the stuff that obviously won't fit the bag but still does. Cartoon logic wins again.

lol @ gotta treat this ocd, gotta treat this ocd.

Yeah, I loled at that one too. :p

Does this mean that Reincarnation is going to air with this block of episodes instead of as a special sometime in November? It was originally hinted that that episode would follow the same path as Holiday Spectacular but maybe they changed their minds based on the horrendous ratings Holiday Spectacular pulled by airing out of pattern.

Now now, you can't credit the Holiday Spectacular's poor ratings on its lousy air date alone...the episode's crappiness had to contribute to some of that.

Actually, I doubt that the quality of that episode had much if anything to do with its poor ratings.  Its quality could not have been known prior to people tuning in to watch it.  Its terrible ratings must be almost entirely due to its air date (plus lack of promotion).

Maybe for reruns (if there were any), but for the initial airing, probably not.

Here's the Fleischer Nibbler.

I like the body, but the eye stalk and his normal eyes are just nasty.

Infact, he kind of reminds me of Maggie from the Simpsons. :hmpf:

I wouldn't say they're nasty at all, they are Fleisher style. Can't really see another way to do it without stepping away from the promised arena. About reminding of Maggie, sure, but it has more to do with both Maggie and (this version of) Nibbler both being extremely traditional babies in style (clothe-wise).

So as far as we know "Reincarnation" is AOI-ish (that is, non-canon and divided into three discrete parts), right? I'm digging all of these designs, but I also wonder what the plot of each segment will be. Probably some riff on the usual story you might find in the various genres, I guess, which could either be really hilarious or really misguided and painful.

Not to be a total downer or anything. For what it's worth, I'm erring on the side of "hilarious."

That's my take on it too, Gorky. My hope however is that they will be traditional Futurama episodes (in this universe), like "the crew has to deliver this package to a mean monster" or whatever, but in the style of the genre (animation wise and story wise).

Isn't there also rumours about there being a video game style animation featured in the upcoming Reincarnation episode? I remember hearing about that a while ago...

I've guess that the video games style would look a lot like Code Monkeys before. Let's see if I'm right :)

And a little thing, but I like that Fletcher style Bender still has square eyes.

So wait... does that mean Fry's eyes are brown? Or green? Green is much more colorful, but I was getting used to the idea of Fry with blue eyes...

Do we have confirmation that this a Ken Keeler episode? I know David X. Cohen said he wrote the season's finale designed to work as a farewell in case they didn't get the 7th season, but I presumed that was Overclockwise given that that's the real season finale and this is just a non-canon special afterwards (like Holiday Spectacular). I'm almost certain Ken Keeler is writing Overclockwise and I doubt we'd see two Keeler episodes in a row.

I hope I'm wrong though, I really want Reincarnation to be great, but Holiday Spectacular has me worried. Ken Keeler would put my mind at ease.

Look on the Comedy Central site -they've posted a picture of WWII video game Fry and you'll see that that's not the style they're going with at all.

The WWII concept art is from 6ACV25 (Overclockwise), not 6ACV26. As further evidence, that concept art is from 6ACV25 act I. The one so far missing act from 6ACV26 is act III (Fleisher says act I, anime act II). Presumably, 6ACV25's beginning act has a war game going in which Fry has a character.

Oops, my bad. I take it back then, I imagine it will be an 8 or 16-bit graphics affair similar to Code Monkeys.

Yeah, that's my thought too. And my hope. AoI 2-ish, but the whole segment through. Hopefully with the awesome video game fanfares and everything. :D

There have been two possible leaks of screenshots, released by a previously unknown user on the Infosphere. While I have contacted the user in question and asked for the source of the screenshots, I have not yet received a reply. One of the pictures (from Benderama) looks like it could just be a photoshop without any proof of validity, while the other (from Yo Leela Leela) seem to fit well with the released storyboard. As I don't know PEEL's policy on these (possibly illegal) leaks, I understand the possibility of this post being deleted by a moderator.
