There's one more airing season for sure.... since the production season that they produced has been split in half.... the first half of which has already been played out minus the holiday episode.

After that, Comedy Central has yet to order another production season, but it's still early in the game and
cable television rules for ordering shows is distinctly different from network television.

Furthermore, it's very likely that Futurama will be renewed again, but it will probably be quite a while before you hear about it.

The ratings have been really good.  Sure beats watching those Italian-American buffoons on Jersey Shore, that's for sure.

Does anyone know when the next new season will start?  Just hope nobody has any doubts about it.

If you refer to the next half of season 6, it seems it will start around the same time this half did (late June 2011). If you refer to the next season, it is yet to be confirmed.

It is unusual in US TV to announce a series renewal at least until the very latter part of last current contract season's run of episode premieres. So it would be very early to announce it even though it may be a done deal. As you can read above it would only cause a lot of confusion.

this isn't news, but it's still neat.  Bender has a restaurant named after him:

Dunno if it's been mentioned, but found some more episode titles for the next season:

Nine-Tenths of a Zoidberg is Underwater
Neutopia
Mobius Dick
Law & Oracle
Ghost in the Machines
Resurrection
All the Presidents' Heads

And then there's the others that have been mentioned before:

The Silence of the Clamps
Cold Warriors
Benderama
Holiday Val-U-Pak

I found a new video interview (its at the bottom of the page) with Phil LaMarr and Billy West.  There are a couple of minor spoilers, but nothing about a renewal.

I hope in the Law and Orcale episode nobody gets framed for a crime they didn't commit.   Mobius Dick sounds cool!  Could it be a crossover with Sonic?  Nah....  Also, Wikipedia said that the Resurection episode might be an AOI-like episode or end like TDHAIP or ITWGY.

No cliffhangers and unknown endings, please!

6ACV25 will end like TDHAIP and ITWGY.

6ACV26 is Resurrection and will be an AOI-like episode.

What! The season DVD is coming out in December? I don't want the Broadcast season DVD, that's only 13 episodes. I want the production DVD like before, NOOOOOOOOO!!!
I think that it's a good idea, I mean... I wouldn't want to wait another year for the comments and such. Also, I hope good sales would further convince Fox/Comedy Central.  ;)

They had French audio tracks on those DVD releases because the episodes had already been broadcast in France and they just took that audio. These episodes haven't aired anywhere outside of the US so it's unknown if there's been any audio translations of them. However, I think it's safe to assume that there will be at least Spanish and French subtitles. I'm not so sure on other languages or if there will be anything beyond subtitles.

French has become sort of a standard (well, semi-standard at least) on DVDs released in Region 1 (North America) because significant portions of Canada primarily speak French.  Spanish is a standard for similar reasons (Mexico and, by now, quite a bit of the U.S. being Spanish-speaking).

I would probably expect French subtitles/audio tracks for that reason at least.  Although it's curious that the episodes haven't really aired anywhere other than the U.S. yet.  Maybe it's part of the agreement with Comedy Central somehow.  Actually, I might check to see if my recordings will play in Spanish through the SAP feature on my TV later out of curiosity.

Lol my dvds consist of Futurama followed by Jersey Shore. Its an interesting mix to say the least. I thought twenty four episodes were ordered ....and theyre gonna do a christmas one...maybe the rest come out in winter or spring? I cant wait that long though!

Thanks pluche! Now I've got a new way to say my user-name. =)

Also, I live in Sweden and the DVD's (Region 2) came out almost at the same time as the show started airing there. It's almost surely going to get subtitles when prepared for the DVD-release.

Before anyone reads the news bit "Futurama and The Simpsons to join foces in a new movie" [sic] without looking at the domain name (e.g., in the google news feed on PEEL's front page),  thespoof.com is not a news site but a news parody site. No idea why google includes such sites in their feed.

Does anyone have an clue to what the christmas episode will be about? I am just wandering if anyone has heard anything from a bird crawling on its belly. They have been known to do that.

New episode titles:

Fry Am the Egg Man

and

Yo Leela Leela

The first is clearly a reference to the song 'I Am the Walrus' by The Beatles, not so sure about the latter.
