what else do you want? more gay nudity perhaps?
Nah...any kind of nudity will do, really. And--though, like I said, I thought it was a funny clip--I share in hjs's meh-ness. I'm sure this will be a perfectly fine episode, but it is by no means my most-anticipated for the season, based on the synopses we have so far.

Yeah, It was a funny clip from a good episode. But I would have to say, that going by the plot info we've got, "Mobius Dick" and "All the Presidents' Heads" sound like the "best" episodes in that way. I do have quite high hopes for this coming half, and I can't find one episode that on paper sounds "bad". So I think it's going to be a good year for Futurama, if viewership remains that is. ____________________________________________________________don't know if i can ask this here, but has there been an official announcement of production season 7 coming? I know a few weeks ago one of the voice actors said it was coming.
most took that to meant that comedy central was in talks to order the new season, the voice actors were contacted in advance to make sure they could be rehired, and that they hadn't been ordered yet.
I don't think that CC has made an announcement about more seasons, but it seems likely as the new episodes would have to go into production in a few months, and Billy West [I think it was him] said something at first, and then Katey Sagal said something too about more seasons. [Sorry if I'm wrong, but that's my understanding of it.] And to answer your question, no, not yet. But likely. Sorry for the babble.

I'll probably start in another 11 days. There were 72 original episodes, 4 movies, and 13 episodes in the last season. That makes 89 different things to watch.
Yeah, what he said. Splitting the four movies up into sixteen episodes while viewing them in the comfort of my own home makes little practical sense, if only because I'll have to pay close attention to the act breaks. I'm not that observant, damn it. Anyway: Before last year's premiere, I kind of got sidetracked and didn't do a proper countdown. This year--come hell or high water...or school or work or myriad other distractions--I will try to watch an episode a day. It probably helps that I haven't been watching the show much lately--I will achieve the perfect mix of novelty and familiarity that comes from giving Futurama a break every once in a while.

They might be waiting for the full production season to air before selling it abroad.
I know that the UK tends to abide by production seasons of most Fox animated shows rather than broadcast seasons when it comes to buying runs of episodes. That's certainly how seasons 1-4 of Futurama were handled abroad.
This could lead to a 26 episode season 6 DVD set being released in region 2, which will somewhat make up for the wait I suppose.
That reminds me, wasn't Season 6 supposed to be all 26 episodes? Why the split? Or is it a break like with South Park? Speaking of South Park, it airs on a Wednesday in the US, then on a Friday 2 days later in the UK, why can't Futurama do that? =L

I just thought that since Fox screwed up Futurama's run so much they just thought hey, it wouldn't seem right any other way...

I've always liked that Maurice keeps in touch pretty well with the fans. Cheers to him for "jumping the gun" (as he put it), hopefully Fox won't gag him like they did Billy.

Fox then gaged him, which is why you haven't heard any news coming from his mouth since. looks like we're getting 26 new episodes:
article
Interesting. I somewhat expected them to switch to a more South Park-like schedule (~7 fall / ~7 spring) to bring more viewers (and be more convenient), but eh, it's fine. New Futurama's not something to take for granted. Also of note is with these episodes there will have been 68 new "episodes" (breaking down the movies) since the show came back in 2007. That's only four less than the original run! Interesting to see if the show makes it past Production Season 7. In the same vein, the show will have run longer time-wise on Comedy Central than on Fox by the time the last of these episodes have aired. Also of note is that the episodes that air in 2013 will be apart of Broadcast Season 10 out of only 7 production seasons...
