Well, he kind of explained why he was inside-out... Not really, he touched on it. That's not what the episode is about. By the same logic "Roswell That Ends Well" is about Fry breaking a microwave. And "In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela" is about Leela taking off her clothes. And "Godfellas" is about a monk getting stuck in a closet. I could go on forever.

I realised my post came off kind of snarky and missing-the-point-y, so I fixed it.

I never said that that was what the episode was about, I was answering Kurt's question...

You do realise what his question was? I wonder what will happen in that? Of which "in that" I interpreted as "in the episode".

I figured he was talking about the events of the clip.

Seeing as it was a new paragraph and he switched tempo, and seeing as he had already seen the clip and was using future tense, I'm pretty sure he talked about the episode in general. I might be wrong though.

I'm aware of that. My real question is why is it like that? To clarify.... AOI is segmented into three hypothetical stories... but it has basis in the Futurama universe. I don't feel that the Holiday Extravaganza was as horrid as its made out to be (it wasn't great either obviously [you ain't winnin' no beauty pageants lady]), but the worst part about it was that it didn't have any basis in Futurama. In that respect, it was more like random fanfic fodder.... "What if the characters celebrated kwanza and space bees turned them all into wax candles?"... which like I said... would be fine if had a real frame to work with like the AOIs technically did. If it's actually an AOI episode..... then are these questions going to be... "What if we were animated?" three times in a row? If that's the case.... that's kind of a weak premise. Don't get me wrong, I love the 30's style, and different styles in general, but I feel that if it's in an episode, it should have some constructive purpose. We'll see I guess.

Hmm, I see what you mean. It would have been better if they remade the fan's favourite eps in each animation style. Obviously they wouldn't be as long, but it would be nice to see. Maybe they are, who knows?

It's not AoI. They haven't said anything about whether it will have a basis in the canon universe though. I hope it will, but my hopes aren't high at the moment. It would have been better if they remade the fan's favourite eps in each animation style. Obviously they wouldn't be as long, but it would be nice to see. Maybe they are, who knows? Obviously not, I think we would have recognised the clip or the storyboard.

They show us enough to know they are not remaking fan favourite Futurama episodes. And the storyboard gave us a lot more than the title, including two new characters.

The impression I have that the purpose of the episode is to just go random. That doesn't necessarily mean that there isn't a border story, but I think it's unlikely at this point.

Kif laughing with Zapp? That clip was awesome, and the animation didn't suck! ...

Wow, that was a great clip. I loved Patton Oswalt's voice, too. ^^ I'm somewhat confused with the Kif-Zapp situation, but I guess it's explained in the episode.

Yeah, but I think there's a reason why Kif suddenly got drunk with Zapp.

Thanks! InfoMan! and we’re going to see more about Fry’s past and high school days and how it relates to a story in the present day. Awsome! Stay tuned for Part 2 on Thursday as David X. Cohen chats about the future of FUTURAMA and seasons 7A and 7B. AWSOME!

The situation we found ourselves in, as always, was that maybe this will be the end of FUTURAMA, so we wanted to write at the end of the season what could be our farewell episode. We decided we would go out with a bang and double our money’s worth. So the second-to-last episode we wrote as your standard last episode ever of FUTURAMA ever. It’s a big science-fiction story of Bender being over-clocked and getting more and more powerful in his computing ability until he can basically foresee events in the future. He ascends far beyond the concerns of mankind and becomes a super-being. Meanwhile there’s this romantic story with Fry and Leela going. So it’s a big sci-fi story and a very touching story. Now this is starting to sound interesting. Also, cool to hear that Buzz Aldrin is in the "Cold Warriors" episode.

That interview with DXC has given me a lot of warm and fuzzy feelings about how this season is going to turn out. I'm pumped to see more flashbacks to Fry's youth and the storyline for "Overclockwise" pretty much confirmed what I already suspected, which was that the episode will be part sci-fi Bender story, part romantic Fry and Leela thing . So, yeah. I'm pretty excited.
