Hello
I saw on the home-page, that "where no fan has gone before" will be the last new episode for at least 5 to 7 month. I thought the show was cancelled! Will there be new episodes?

Officially the show isn't cancelled it's on "hiatus". This means that it's a possibility that FOX will order new episodes, once they've cleared the backlog they've created themself. But it's not at all certain. After "Where No Fan Has Gone Before" there is an additional 16 episodes yet to air in the backlog. What these episodes are can be seen at TLZ.If they'll ever air, is still uncertain. FOX claims they'll be broadcast next season (which happen to start in 5-7 months, I'm a bit uncertain here), but knowing FOX that claim isn't worth the cathode rays used to print it.

Anybody know what the Trekkies did back in the sixties? They were pretty succesfull. Heck, they even got a space shuttle named after the Enterprise. Could you imagine a space shuttle named "Planet Express Ship" or "Nimbus"? Nah, seriously they did something right back then, and it would be nice to know what. Was it just their sheer numbers?

Maybe we could create some sort of gigantic garbage ball, and threaten to dump it right on all the Fox execs if they don't renew Futurama. It could work!!

what about fan art? We could send the letters with fan art drawn on the envelopes (No Fox hateing art as were trying to win them over ) Maybe with little speach bubbles exxpression a summery of the letter. If they won't open them to read the letter maybe they'll glance at the envelope, see the atractive little lines and go 'OOOoooo' and maybe that'll get there attention enough to actualy open the letters?

Originally posted by Dr_Dave: Well, my letters didn't come back, unopened or otherwise. Sure, maybe they went straight to the circular file. At least I tried. If anyone has a better idea, go for it! The only think I know for sure won't work is to sit on your hands and complain. I'm not saying we should do nothing, I sent in 6 letters, but what good has it done, nothing at all. All I'm saying is what we're doing at the moment isn't working and we need to use alternative methods. Don't ask me what though, I'm beginning to wonder if the only thing they'll take notice of is if someone crashed a plan into Fox HQ. Really I'm seriously thinking anything less drastic will be ignored. I don't think it would be a good idea though

How about We all dress in black and white suits with pure black sunglasses. Walk up to FOX studios. Get in there ( It won't be hard. They have a coat hanger keeping the gate locked. Then we hold the execs hostage.

I'm afraid nothing short of blackmailing some top Fox execs will save Futurama now. What we need now is something they don't want to go public (aside from Futurama) to threaten them with.
