On the way home tonight I passed a big-ass semi (trailer-hauling lorry?) with
L I G H T S P E E D
written on the side in huge letters :)

What company made that Semi?

Hmmm, I'm not sure.  Perhaps this one?

I was watching this video titled "Top 10 Voice Actors in Film and TV", and I was pleased to see that quite a few voice actors from Futurama were there.

So, there's this local flea market that I usually check out every weekend or so. It has those intercom devices that supermarkets usually have, but attached up on tall poles and set to a very high volume setting so they can be heard across the entire market. They always use it to announce when somebody's booth is having a sale or if someone's car is parked in the wrong spot, but that's all besides the point. Today at said flea market (Yes, it is open on Mondays), the intercom said something like, "Patrick Verrone to the Main Office!", and because we're all on a Futurama forum, I'm sure we all know how that reminded me of Futurama. I know it's almost certainly a coincidence, but hey, I wonder what the chance are that he was really at the Flea Market.
I'll tell you what they are; NONE.
But whatever.

Days ago, in my college we went to a presentation for some stuff I'll be working this semester and in the last slide my conselour used Futurama's images (there was a scared Fry  :laff: ) that made me smile, even if I hate school.

My dad watches Fox News sometimes and I decided to watch it with him, hoping they aren't arguing about some stupid crap and there was a text across the screen saying "Developing" in the text that the show uses in the credits.

Rob Ford probably forced them to do so.

I was doing work in my math textbook and for one of the problems, there was a store called "Lee's Lemons".

Here's something else, that I haven't seen pointed out: Calculon looks a lot like a banana slug.

I've seen it mentioned that "they could just fly to Mordor on the giant eagles and drop the ring in the mountain". Which is a great idea except that Mordor has an air force. Remember the giant flying ugly-monsters the Nazgul wind up riding? The fell beasts?

I was at a friend's house yesterday who happens to be a drummer, he played along to all of "Tom Sawyer" by Rush, so that reminded me of Futurama.

That song used to remind me of Futurama until I saw this episode of Chuck, wherein the song gets played about 4 or 5 times. Kinda hard to think of anything else when I hear it now. :p

I think most people are aware of that, but the problem is they never really address that in the movie (same with The Hobbit). I know they do in the book, but that's irrelevant.

I can't believe that I of all people, am being critical of LOTR.

I was at the pediatrician's office today and all of a sudden I heard Fry's voice. The TV set in the corner was playing some Disney Junior show and Billy West does the voice of a blue character called "Ellyvan." That's what the character's name sounded like, at least. It was a van with elephant ears and a trunk. It totally threw me for a loop.

To bad it wasn't a Studebaker--they could've called him Packard-derm.

Anyway, speaking of motor vehicles (and Billy West):

One time at a hotel, there was a show on Cartoon Network (I think) called Space Dandy. I only saw a little of it, but it looked like Futurama but as an anime.

There have been a few complaints made against commercial growers here in Washington, mostly from people who are morally opposed to other people having fun.

That's the definition of Puritanism: "The fear that someone out there is having a good time."

In Chicago, there is (or was; I haven't been there in a couple of years) a restaurant called Furama.

There is also a Fry Street that I cross on my running route.

Watch a Simpsons character from the old Simpsons arcade game make a cameo.
