I don't think this episode, (besides Susan Boil), was as bad as most people give it credit for. It was nothing great, but there were a few laughs hidden in there.

Yeah. Look past Susan Boil and the crappy ending, this episode does have its good moments.

Susan Boil and the pool of goat shit/vomit were equally as awful as one another, and totally out of place for Futurama's normally-clever style. Mom's sub-plot was lame and went fucking NOWHERE, the rest of the episode was devoid of humour and hugely uninteresting, not to mention the weirdly specific current event satire which simply did not work. The whole thing was a disaster.

The triptych episodes of the CC run were equally as bad, though they at least have the forgivable element of being 100% non-canon. Now I have to accept the fact that Futurama is set in a world where shit like Susan Boil actually happened.

I don't think any Futurama episode is totally bad. This one just is noticeably below average quality and bottom of the list.

While story and idea weren't too bad, the execution with Boil and plot filled with technology (as a satire of current phenomena) was just out of the place. Basically it was simple, funny story, but not quite in Futurama's standards and in the end not very good at all. I liked the ending, though.

Oh, sorry, my bad. I'll go and scratch my season 6 DVD so that I can't watch it ever again. Then I'll enjoy some quality entertainment of Family Guy, new Simpsons and reality TV with nice cup of cold coffee and one warm beer.

. I agree, I was just watching this recently and really enjoyed it and forgot all about the Susan boil, untill I had to see it again.  I was quite upset.
