A bit low, but still pretty consistent in the ratings, or at least compared to last year.

Also, first TOTPD.

A bit meh. I think it will probably pick up a little bit next week. After all, the end of July is a pretty busy part of the month for some people. At least around my way.

The show did good again, it finished 15th out of 100 in the top cable telecasts!

Awesome.

But that may just be due to the amount of Adventure Time fans that wanted to tune in. Too bad they were all disappointed. :laff:

Doubt it. Barely any FG fan knows about Seth playing Seymour for that one little quote. In fact, I don't think there is FG fans.  :p

Unless of course, they pull off another one of those picture things like what they did with the Finn and Jake cameo.

Most people are aware about it.
http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/06/19/futurama-seth-macfarlane/
And FG is the highest rated thing on Animation Domination, I'm sad to say.
It's also 7th overall with ad exec's, which is a huge deal.
And why that crap won't die.
And it's re-runs are usually the highest rated crap on cable next to Big Bang.

Anyway Seth is passable, but FG is total garbage.

I was inferring that everybody who watches Family Guy are too stupid to form their own fanbase. I haven't ever heard of any. I've heard of some fans, but most definitely not a fanbase. I mean maybe we'll get like 100 more viewers when compared to the season's average. Not alot of people are huge "seth fans".

I beg to differ.
I've met the diehard Seth/FG fans on other fourms.
They scare me with their insanity.
It has a huge teenage cult following I've been told time and time again by these same insane FG fans on various fourms.
The high ratings suggest this must be true, that or it's old dumb people.

It's not that people are too stupid to form their own fanbase. That's a ridiculous statement.

I like Family Guy for the most part and I'm not really part of any sort of established fanbase because I just don't like it that much. The show is less involving and just lighthearted fun, so I'm far less invested in it.

I also really like Seth, Ted and American Dad are actually some of my favorite things to watch. He also has a really great voice and has some good jazz songs.

I agree, Eternium.

To be quite honest though, I used to enjoy Family Guy in the first 3 seasons. But now it's just CRAP, and almost painful to watch. I mean I hate how they poke fun at people with serious diseases, or real life harassment issues. Like I'm sitting here thinking; Is this supposed to be funny?? That is just awful. I liked it better when they made the fart jokes. But even those start to get old.

I don't know how anybody could laugh at those. I liked Season 1 and 2 the best. But it still isn't enough to make up for 7 awful seasons. I liked it when Stewie was an evil baby, or Peter was a big Couch Potato. Those were enjoyable character traits. Now it's all modernized, and pretty much uninteresting.

Even Seth feels like Family Guy should have ended a long time ago. It was on an interview in 2011. I mean at least he has some brain smarts.

*Edit*: Cyber-T, have you ever heard of anything called Sarcasm? I don't actually think FG fans are that stupid lol. But I doubt any people are big enough fans to want to make a fan site, like you just said.

Fucking BS killed it in the ratings.

So did Duck Dynasty shatter cable records then?
DUCK DYNASTY - AEN - 10:00 PM - 11.773 million - 5.0
It got almost 12 million viewers.
Only other show that gets those numbers on cable is The Walking Dead, I believe, but correct me if wrong.

Sad.

Duck Dynasty actually set a record last night:

http://www.avclub.com/articles/beaklieve-it-or-not-last-nights-duck-dynasty-premi,101700/

So, to put that in some context.

Although it always depresses me when cheap reality shows like that are ratings winners, personally.

Hey, at least Futurama has been doing good on iTunes this week.

I kinda see a pattern with this;

When we get good ratings, we don't have so many iTunes purchases.

When we have bad ratings, we get alot of iTunes purchases.

Nobody will want to renew the show now.
An old rerun of ATHF kicks the shows ass!
Hell, a cheap old Squidbillies and a 20 year old episode of FULL HOSUE does better.
CC is justified in canceling anything with this awful of an rating for the price it costs to make.

AQUA TEEN HUNGERFORCE ADSM 12:30 AM 1.545 0.8
SQUIDBILLIES ADSM 12:45 AM 1.310 0.7
FULL HOUSE NAN 10:00 PM 1.963 0.6
Futurama CMDY 10:00 PM 1.040 0.5

More 18-34 year olds would rather watch a 20 year episode of 'Full House' than Fry and Bender according to that 0.6!
FUCK, FUTRURMA HAS NO RATINGS FOR ITS HIGH PRODUCTION COST!

The ratings are that bad?! Holy crap, man! It really is no big surprise that CC is cancelling it, then... It's too bad that so little people watch this show, as it's a 100 times better than pretty much anything on TV today.

Whatever. Alot of great shows have been neglected by ratings, and they all deserved to be continued, now including Futurama. At least it got one final chance at becoming well-received. At least we'll have memories...

MuchAdo, there isn't any chance of CC deciding to renew it now. We had a whole season to try and prove ourselves. And it's all up to 7A standards. Two episodes isn't going to make a difference with anything.

Matt and DXC have always wanted 200 episodes and ten seasons, if you listen to the old stuff.

200 episodes seems like too much in my opinion. I think I'm happy with 140.

180 would also be a good number, but anything past that seems like a big no-no in my mind.

Not sure if a whole lot of weight should be put on the rating of the 1st broadcast of an episode. The same episode was broadcast again at 12AM the same night and will likely be the follow up episode to next weeks new episode. I may be show one or two times in the meantime as well.

It seems to me to be a bit of old thinking from the pre-cable, pre multi-channel days. All the showings add advertising revenue to the kitty. It's not like the Fox days when an episode was seen once and maybe one or two times in a year and that was it until Adult Swim picked it up.

The premiere episode ratings may determine the price per second or what ever, but it may not reflect how much total revenue the episode makes in whatever they call a "season" these days.

If they were to do three more seasons of 26 episodes, pushing the number of seasons to 10, there would but a total number of 218 episodes.
