Exactly, flesheatingbull. The stuff with Leela taking over Planet Express, and dealing with her feelings over Fry's death, was really interesting and dramatically-rich. I loved the glimpses we got in the episode, but I suspect there were more scenes that could have taken place in a similar vein, filling in some of the intervening years at Planet Express.
That's not to say that I don't love "The Late Philip J. Fry" as it is, though; it's damn-near perfect, and the PE stuff is great. I guess I'm just being greedy.

Like the 3012 ep, they could have gone forward to the world blowing up or whatever then made the ep.
Or a completely random scene made into an ep, kind of like how they (sorta) pre-planned Nibbler's shadow.

I think their should be an episode where fry realizes there's a tiny alien civilization living on his toe nail.
1. Wat. 2. Seems like a rip-off of Godfellas. 3. Seems like a rip-off of that Simpsons ep with Lisa's tooth.

That's also similar to "Parasites Lost," especially if the civilization believes Fry (or his toenail) to be the known universe.

Please tell me you know that both were doing a take-off of The Twilight Zone...
Nope, never seen a single ep.

Nixon has been inconspicuously absent for a while, wonder if we will see him again soon.

I am kinda hoping to see a Zapp/Kif comraderie type subplot in the near future. The dynamic between those two is comedy gold. Though it is funny that it seems nothing has changed since Kif's superior has slept with his fonfonru.

Some kind of senerio where Fry has been elevated to a plane way above his capability, some-how gets the Omicronians and Decipodians involved, only to have Zoidberg be forced into mediation.

Welcome back to Peel, meisterPOOP! Where have you been all these years? At least you haven't changed ... I hope that they do an episode where the mutants take over the surface and force the surface people into the sewers. It's an old idea I had...

*DannyJC13 gets out the old 'What-If? Machine'*'What if 'The Mutants Are Revolting' was the exact same except the people on the surface are forced into the sewers?'

Mine was better though...
Agreed, it would have made the greatish but not very great Mutants Are Revolting episode a lot better. It was allright and was one of the better ones of season 6, but it had no business being the 100th episode. I have a few ideas for future episodes: I think they should do an anthology of interest that features a Steampunk segment. It could feature nods to Jules Verne, and poke fun at the idea that while steam powered robots and spaceships would look cool, they would be extremely impractical, even in Futurama's setting. Still a steampunk New New York would be worth watching, I think! I also would like to see what steambot Bender would look like. The Crushinator could make as a cameo where she resembles one of the first steam trains, such as the Rocket or Puffing Billy. I would like them to do an episode where the crew land in London. There are plenty of things they could parody like Dr Who, Blake's 7 and the Clangers.

I have a weird idea that stemmed from a strange dream I had a few weeks ago.
It basically involves a bunch of alien civilizations returning all their now useless dark matter to Earth by dumping it into our oceans. Eventually so much is dumped that Earth slowly transforms into a high gravity environment/sea levels rise/bla bla bla bla bla.

I actually think of "Brannigan Begin Again" when I think of a high gravity earth.
And yeah I know haha, just felt like sharing - we've probably seen too many "save the world/environmental message" episodes anyway.
Also on a personal note, I kinda hope Al Gore never appears on the show again (especially after his last appearance...)
