Not sure what was going on with Bender and the cops. Hopefully it'll make more sense in context.
I'm guessing the Amy/Kif scene was thrown in there to give us a reason why Amy's suddenly interested in Bender... I just hope this particular plotline dies fast.
* Svip raises eyebrow. Bender needs money for a bail out (you know, like in "A Fishful of Dollars"), but who has money that he knows? Amy. That connection makes perfect sense to me. The video, however, does not explain Amy's interest in Bender.

I'm outside of America, I can view it. What's the problem? What's your browser?
That he either lives in Canada or the United Kingdom. Comedy Central has special agreements there, that disallows viewers there from using their website. Basically whoever they sold the rights to there takes over, and it's up to them to post the clips. I'm not sure where we're supposed to post preview clips of the new episodes, so until it's decided I'll post in both this thread and the news thread. Here's another clip from Proposition Infinity: Link.
ANYWAY, George Takei in a self appearing role that actually makes sense? When will FistfulOAwesome get his revenge?!

You're sure it's George Takei? He wasn't in the "omfgwegotcoolpeoplethisyear"-list as far as I saw :O I'm outside of America, I can view it. What's the problem? What's your browser?

Given how he has appeared on the show twice before, I would say it would be pretty insulting to substitute him for an imitator. In addition, he wouldn't appear as his head in any case. And since Cohen has mentioned this several times, there will be no 'wait and see'; we already know.
The Futurama dudes have replaced people more than once before, and even though it would be meaningless if Takei's part isn't larger than this, we don't know if it really is larger. And seeing as I haven't seen such an interview I will wait and see until I do. At least that's what I meant, but re-reading your post you seemed more confident than the first time I read it through rather quickly, and so I'll take your word for it. Sorry, but it is kind of late.

http://popwatch.ew.com/2010/05/25/futurama-david-x-cohen-preview/Katee Sackhoff is playing a visitor to Comic-Con who has a fetish for aliens. She threw herself into the role in an impressive fashion. In our 100th episode special, Mark Mothersbaugh and Devo campaign for mutant rights — Leela’s parents are second-class, mutant citizens who live underground in the sewers. The members of Devo have mutated over the years, and Mark Mothersbaugh helps out in their campaign for equality. Craig Ferguson has the most remarkable guest role of the year: He is playing a talking part of Leela’s body. We discover that Leela has a little more to her being a mutant than we knew about. Chris Elliott is playing a very persnickety space probe that goes around censoring things that it thinks are indecent, and he finds nudity both interesting and offensive. George Takei will be back. I’m proud to announce that Al Gore will be rejoining us in our environmental-themed holiday episode [airing next season]. He will help explain the future versions of Christmas, Robanukah, and Kwanza, along with Coolio, a natural pairing. Patton Oswalt will appear in next season, playing a character called Unattractive Giant Monster. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the first appearance by David X. Cohen, in the Comic-Con episode. The heads of Matt Groening and David X. Cohen will appear on a panel of writers for the new show that Matt Groening has created in the Year 3010. Emphasis mineDon't just take my word for it. I know I'm right.

Hmm...has Futurama ever been this specific in regards to parody before? Where it took a single real-life issue and made it the focus of an episode? Maybe it did, and I just don't remember...
What I've seen of this ep reminds me, most uncomfortably, of Family Guy. Yeah, I know, others have been saying that, for various and sundry reasons, but...I guess I prefer Futurama when it relies less on parody and pop-culture reference and more on situation and character interaction. And when it doesn't push a particular point of view, as this new ep seems to be doing. I'm not a fan of Family Guy for that reason. When I'm in the mood for comedy flavored with parody and pop-culture references, I prefer South Park, because it tries hard to make fun of everybody, and genuinely seems to avoid what is commonly called an agenda. Futurama's too good to rely heavily on current headlines for its comedy inspiration. After all, it's got a wonderful world and hilarious characters to draw from. Well, anyway, I hope my misgivings are wrong. We'll see...

Yeah, but then there's that whole thing where he doesn't have man parts. I can't see Amy staying interested long in a guy who has no man parts AND is a jerk.
I'm sure he has attachments, plus he can also vibrate.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure Freako knows about Benders 'attachments' hehe *see dirty freako fan art* Anyway, the episode is going to be strange I'm sure. I'm just interested to see what happens.
