We also know that 6ACV14 is written by Eric Rogers. Also this template may be of interest to you, as it lists the currently confirmed writers based on several sources; who appeared at Comic-Con, whom they have mentioned and so forth.

The only episode of his that I'm not particularly fond of is "Obsoletely Fabulous" (I forgive him for "The Route of All Evil", because its subplot is one of my favorite stories ever), and even that one has its moments. I'm reserving judgment until I see the episodes, but I do always have high hopes for stories by Ken Keeler, Patric Verrone, Eric Kaplan, and DXC.

Watched without audio, so not certain what was going on.
I put those videos up; there's a transcript in the info box. I'm still assuming that most of the footage in these promos comes from "Rebirth" and "In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela"--the two episodes comprising this "one-hour premiere event." I think "Rebirth" is going to be jam-packed, even though a lot of the action seems contained in that top, dome-y part of the Planet Express building. And I don't know what to make of that Bender discoing thing; part of me still thinks it may be a dream sequence.

New Maurice LaMarche interview http://www.ugo.com/tv/futurama-maurice-lamarche-interview"It’s a fun season, and this overall - I think this is the funniest and most touching group of episodes we’ve done yet. It’s like we’ve doubled up on the Emmy quality episodes. Whereas in the first couple of seasons where we were still finding our legs, there’d be two episodes per season where you’d go 'Oh my god!' Like 'The Luck of the Fryish,' or 'Jurassic Bark,' where you’re left with a tear at the end. We’ve got like five or six episodes in this run that have that emotional resonance, and are also laugh out loud funny.
"We’ve just really hit our stride after five seasons. You’re going to be immensely blown away with how funny, and how much of an emotional center there is to the series this year." Comments? I mean, he wouldn't just be saying they're the best they've ever done it if it wasn't true, especially after how the movies turned out.

Mo's ability to reference episodes so well is something you don't see in TV much. Good to know he's as geeky and invested in the show as us. On your quote: that sounds fantastic! They have a lot of faith in these episodes being up to par with the originals, and it seems that they're saying it's up to par with the best (as in Season 3 and 4). And he could say it if it wasn't true; sometimes it's a good thing to lie on quality. But I don't think he was lying. Here are the interesting quotes I picked up on: On Kif: "I’ve been lobbying for an episode where Kif has to take over the Nimbus because Zap had a bad clam, or something like that, and realizes just how tough Zap’s job is. That’s something I’ve been saying – 'Hey, if we get to do season seven, how about a Kif show where he goes from First Officer to Captain?' He’s kind of a rich character for a [switching to Kif’s voice] little wimpy guy. Oh my." I feel he wouldn't have mentioned this if it wasn't happening. Looking forward to this one! On writers and actors: "There have been one or two times, though, where they’ve been very open. Now, I can’t remember the specifics of it, but I remember in the first movie, I said to David Cohen, 'Bender wouldn’t do that.' I believe there was a moment where he took great joy in something that was happening – Fry’s downfall, or killing Fry – and I said, 'Bender wouldn't do that, he would struggle more.' For all his faults, he loves Fry. And David took that under consideration, and actually altered the script a little bit to have Bender be struggling with this programming that’s causing him to kill the past Fry – you know, that whole jumble that happened with the time travel, and the two Frys. So I felt good, that I had come up with a story point. This is really interesting. Once again, good to know that the actors are invested in the show. Revealing some more plots: "There are pages where we just sit back and watch Billy talk to himself for a minute and a half. I have a very nice episode this season where I had pages and pages of dialogue with the villain character, and a bunch of my regular characters, where I had a bit of a run there, and I said, “Hey, I’m the Billy West of the show this week.” Everybody would leave the studio and let me do the scene. "We’ve got an interesting storyline coming up which is called “Proposition Infinity,” where the Kif/Amy dynamic actually breaks up. So we get to explore a little bit of their relationship as that happens. Calculon makes an appearance in upcoming episodes. And I do get to play this evil diabolical cat – a new character, he’s only a one-shot, but he’s a lot of fun. And I’m also Leonardo DaVinci. In the 'Duh Vinci Code.' Is the villain stated before the same as the cat? And interesting to learn that Da Vinci will appear in DVC. And this interesting gem: "While we do a lot, it’s definitely a full cast show, and we try to record together as much as possible. Obviously with Katey’s schedule on Sons of Anarchy, there have been times when we’ve have had to have her come and record later. Tress MacNeille will read in Leela’s lines – she actually does a pretty good Katey Segal – and we’ll do the show like that. But our preference is to all be together. Maybe that's what would've happened if Katey didn't get negotiated into a contract.

On the other hand, he couldn't be saying the episodes were terrible. But due to the voice actors obvious excitement during interviews, I am going with that this is a sincere position they have on the new season. Whether that lives up to our quality remains to be seen.

For me Season 4 is easily the worst season overall, and I'd take Season 1 and 2 over it any day...

I didn't like the first season at all. That's why I didn't like futurama when it came out. I liked the show around the second season.
Guys, guys. No infighting is necessary. We are men, not Imps and Pinky's. Whatever our preferences for Futurama episodes, be it straight Comedy, Sci-fi, Drama, or a mix, I'm sure we will all get what we want out of these new episodes.
We weren't fighting; there weren't any exclamation points. We were discussing how Seasons 1 and 2 were nowhere near as good as Season 3 and 4. And there's no guarantee that they'll be something for everybody. Speaking of Devo, this article says they're playing mutant versions of themselves. Don't think we've heard that part yet.

This review of the first two episodes just popped on the news feed: http://www.inthisweek.com/view.php?id=2373291
The major things learned are that Fry and Leela will not be together as of the first two episodes (*sigh*), I'll raise you that sigh and add the crack of a broken heart... (deep breath, mutters) It's just a show, it's just a show... (not helping) (Bender voice): AW CRAP!!!! But I have hope that we'll get some good Fry/Leela stuff in later episodes...it just kinda sucks that the whole relationship thingy's been reset. As if that wasn't bad enough in Beast With A Billion Backs...

At times I even found myself upset that Fry wasn't with Leela and it made me take a step back and remind myself that it's just a show. Eh, that doesn't particularly surprise or concern me. It's not entirely dismissive--"Fry wasn't with Leela" is a vague way of putting it, anyway; the optimist in me thinks it could just mean that they're not together, physically, but rather separated by someone or something--and I really don't think the writers are dumb enough to reset the relationship entirely. I'm just waiting until I can see the episodes for myself. And anyway, I don't understand why the beginning of "Rebirth" would make a point of mentioning that Fry and Leela kissed--and that Farnsworth saw it--if they were just going to reset it. I just hope we don't get some faintly TKOS-ish ending, where Fry knows he and Leela kissed, but she doesn't remember it on account of the rebirthing thing, and he keeps his mouth shut about it.

I think we'll get exactly that. Being that Fry and the Professor seem to be the only survivors, it's very likely this will happen.
