I am gonna go with that the Leela Robot goes through some revisions.

Hm, since Zapp is there, this might be 6ACV02.

I think Bender might have caught himself a 'bad' deal.

Awh, more emotional Fry moments.

Oh noes!  Sounds like she is still trying to remind Fry that he is a human.

I have very little reason to believe these aren't legit, but I do wonder how IGN got a hold of them...

That Fry/Leela thing doesn't look like a kiss to me. It kind of looks like she's peering into his ear or fixing a crick in his neck or something. Which is still pretty romantic.

Hmm... assuming Leela gets temporarily stuck inside a robot body, might she choose not to go back to human form when she realises the advantages - but she does in the end when she sees how that decision upsets Fry?

Indeed. Hopefully CC will keep the show running for a while, as well. The writers don't seem to be running out of ideas anytime soon. :D

That's... not good character development. Choosing to be human only for Fry doesn't speak well for a relationship between them if she'll always be silently disliking him for "forcing" her to adorn an inferior fleshy corpse, along with the negative things that would say about her personality if she would choose to be what is essentially an unfeeling, cold automaton over a living, breathing, warm human.

I know you're just spitballin' and we both know that won't happen, but you put up something I disagree with and I have to compulsively knock it down, cause that's how I roll.

I just saw the commercial with that scene in it. It is most definitely a kiss.

Don't sweat it, spitballing is meant to be shot down.

How about if Leela goes metal, then she gets upset that Fry won't love her any more, but when he says he does in a big emotional yet dim-brained manner we love him for (cue the slow zoom and soft music), she almost breaks him in two with a hug. Okay, 110% on the Shippiness Meter...  :p

And as for the pic - it's MistressAmyWong!  :laff:

The ship to me doesn't seem to be a reference to anything.   I'm sure Comedy Central will keep Futurama around for a long time.  Don't see why they wouldn't.

Eh, I can forgive them the lameness, since Friday's update was so awesome.

This is apparently from episode six, which would be "Lethal Inspection." Wonder where the civil war stuff comes into play.

Didn't the kinda already do that? I mean yeah it wasn't a civil war it was a robo-proletariat revolution but that's a good way to start a civil war right?

I kind of thought maybe that still was from "The Late Philip J. Fry" at first, since I could totally see a killbot-ruled world in the year 4000 or some such. But we're more or less positive that episode six is "Lethal Inspection", right?

Perhaps MG and DXC kept the original writing staff, and didn't see fit to bother us with that detail.

i_c: As far as the writing staff goes, I'm pretty sure everyone who worked on the movies (Cohen and Groening, obviously; then Keeler, Verrone, Kaplan, Horsted, and Rowe) are involved in this new season. DXC also mentioned Lewis Morton coming back and doing an episode freelance, though I cannot for the life of me remember where I heard that.

Hooray!!! Fabulous Randy's coming back!!!

But we have no idea for sure. For all we know, Matt's writing them all. ... Okay, we can be pretty sure there's some semblance of a writing team. But I just want to know who's writing the individual episodes! Yes, my geekdom goes this far.

Haha, I suppose wanting to know so you can get a feel for what the episode will be like is a go-- NO, I will not be dragged that far into it just now. No, I can wait. I'm a general fan of Keelers episodes though, and I think Horsted as well, but I can't quite remember...

Either way, the new promos are getting me way too worked up, especially since I dunno when I'm going to be able to procure a decent download, or whatever.

I agree with you guys that knowing who's writing the specific episodes is kind of important (and geeky); if you want to up the geek ante, you can just speculate about who has written what episode, like so:

I think DXC and Matt wrote "Rebirth", and "The Late Philip J. Fry" sounds like a Ken Keeler episode to me. The proposition infinity episode is, I think, Mike Rowe, and I seem to recall DXC saying that "Lethal Inspection" is Lew Morton's episode. "In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela" could be Eric Kaplan, what with all the nudity. But, honestly, I'm probably wrong about all of these.
