Probably not on June 24th, but as soon as I found the premiere downloadable I'll have my own marathon watching all seasons and films followed by the new episodes.

I am sure you will be able to find them somewhere if you miss it on the 24th.

Starting early on th 23rd me and my friend are going to watch every episode and movie back to back and when we are done we shall watch the new episodes

You'll probably be so sick and tired of Futurama by then it'll ruin the new eps...
Well to prevent that I have been abstaining from Futurama for the past couple of months

I'll complete my current Futurama rewatch session with the final parts of Into the Wild Green Yonder and then watch the new episodes online in the morning on the 25th due to time-zone differences (living in the UK and that).

I will be hosting a Futurama viewing party. We are going to watch ITWGY and have it cue'd up right in time for "Rebirth." I can't freakin wait. My husband is even going to help me make a bender head cake. I even have friends that I didn't have to bribe to come. Most people think I'm nuts. I don't care. I can't wait. I'd love to watch every episode in order back to back, but I don't have them all :( However, I do tape them from Comedy Central and watch every night!!!!  16 days and counting!!!!!!!! Do the bender!

I'm not certain, but a friend who lives in my apartment building is a huge Futurama fan, so I'll probably watch with her (and possibly her boyfriend if he's around that day, as he's a big fan too).  I don't really have cable, so I certainly hope they're free to watch that night!

Otherwise, I might have to go pay my parents a visit; I might want to do that anyway just so I can record the episodes onto a DVD or something.

This is only really of concern to Hobbitboy and I - and any NZers who may be lurking - but I just heard back from C4, the station who is currently screening Futurama repeats over here:

Quoteth - "The next series of Futurama is yet to be scheduled and is therefore unlikely to be on-air this year."

Oh, well. Downloading for us then, chaps.

I'll probably be working. But if I can find a channel that is airing the new epsiodes I will do everything I can to get the day off and be at home in front of the TV.

You can't watch anything on hulu if you're not in the US because hulu seems to miss the point of the Internet.

You can't watch anything on hulu if you're not in the US because hulu seems to miss the point of the Internet.

And Hulu also seems to forget that there is a free re-routing server in Texas that will act as a proxy IP, allowing you to watch content on Hulu. Not that I'd ever advocate trying to find a way around rules that have obviously been put in place by people who know better.

I'm going to enjoy the first episode of the new series of The IT Crowd too as it also airs on the 25th (aforementioned time zones). Basically, it's going to be TV day for me.

It appears that my brother, his wife, and their two young children will be staying with us next week. These are not ideal Futurama-watching conditions...there'd better not be disruptions!

It's cool to hear other people are having Futurama parties.

The problem is that I live in Canada, so I don't get Comedy Central. That means I will have to download the two new episodes of Futurama airing next Thursday, because I don't know if or when a Canadian network will air them.

I'm having my own party on Friday with my circle of Futurama-loving friends, when we'll watch the new episodes together. I can't promise that I won't watch the episodes before then -- but neither have they. Regardless, it's going to be great to watch the episodes as a group, because it's always better watching funny shows with a group of people.

Just watched into the Wild Green Yonder tonight to catch myself up.  Ah, now a week to wait....

I'll be having an echo-cardiogram done prior at 7 pm, but I'll be home to watch it, thankfully.  I would've KILLED someone if I wasn't.

As for those who live in other countries, I'm sure that atdhe.net would have someone streaming it for you.

If atdhe streams it live, I'm definitely going to watch it. Then I'll download it the next day. AWESOME!

None of my friends care for Futurama as much as I do, so I'll probably be alone in watching them.  My brother might partake, but it'll probably just be me and some popcorn or something.

Topic: I have work until three o'clock this Thursday, but after my shift I plan on sitting around my house for a few hours, watching some of my favorite episodes and ending in ItWGY, which will lead into the new episodes.

This week I'll have an increasingly hard time focusing on work, then probably achieve nothing after midday Friday (that is time Rebirth starts by my timezone) and then log in to the appropriate memory bank when I get home at 6/7 and hit refresh until I can download the episodes. That's pretty much my plan for the next few weeks actually. I lead an exciting life.

1. Being over joyful that Futurama is back
2. Putting it on loop for the entire day
3. Pausing looking at every frame
4. Being stunned that Futurama is back
5. Even more stunned that it's back on my birthday
6. Thanking Matt Groening

I think that about covers it!

[edit to conform with forum rules] first two episodes are awesome.
I will watch them again on normal tv, and be buying the boxsets, as we all know, this is what kept our favourite show alive.

yayness.

What.

Which, given your user name, I assumed you joined to celebrate the return of Futurama and you weren't even ready for it.  And no, I don't think we 'hate' you, I am personally just confused.  I do not agree with your observations myself.

Hey all:
Just a friendly reminder of site rules. Technically any release before Thursday is illegal. You can say you saw the episodes, but you can't say where or link to it. Don't want anybody getting banned or anything! K thx bai!

What do you mean "changed the format"? Are you talking about the 16:9 widescreen? Are you talking about story progression? Are you saying it's now live action?

No I don't mean because it's in HD or anything like that I mean by the way its all cut together seems really weird it's not the same style as old futurama episodes when you watch it you will understand what I mean. To me it just seems a bit of a dramatic change which I think many fans are not going to like, im not the only one i just rang up my friend and told him the new eps were leaked he likes futurama too but only watched the first episode and said he was not to fond which is a shame i would rank them as okay

I disagree.  While the plots was a little 'weird' at first, they seemed quite good and the only ones a bit different was Fry and Leela, but only because of what was obvious.

I felt the show felt the same.  I bet it's because it is new Futurama that is scaring you.  I understand that feeling, it remains slightly weird to me too.  But even in old Futurama, there were some bad jokes and things I originally just sighed at.  But now I love that too.  No one likes them at first, but they'll grow on you, as Fry would say.

I concur.  And "In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela" even more so!  I mean, I could watch that without having watched "Rebirth" first.  Good stuff indeed.  And very little fan wank too.

I can understand what were back baby! means. Rebirth felt pretty different to past episodes, mostly due to its pacing. I'd put it down to there being so much going on in the episode more than anything, I can't see it being a permanent tonal shift. I thoroughly enjoyed the episode all the same, plenty of laugh-out-loud moments for me even if a few jokes felt out of place for Futurama and the plot was nice and twisty-turny enough.
I wasn't a huge fan of In-Da-Gadda-Da-Leela, it felt a little flat and some of the characters didn't seem quite in character. It also felt quite rushed at times, have they lost some of their running time or something? Still, it's a decent return to the show as far as I'm concerned. So long as there are going to be some stronger episodes in this season (which I imagine there will be), I'll be very happy.
