Listen up y'all! It's only 100 days until New Futurama Episodes are broadcast, so I figured we needed a countdown thread.

I was planning on viewing an episode (with and without commentary) a day starting in two weeks to keep the countdown interesting. Anyone gonna join me?

Or have you all got your own ideas on how to commerate this occasion? Feel Free to share :D

I was hoping someone would make a "76 days!" thread like this one.

You know, so we could do the whole 7_ days thing again... This time with 76...

I was planning on doing the 76 day "marathon" and I will. It'll make the wait more interesting.

Well I suppose the 76 days thing is settled then. Now we play the waiting game...

Sounds like a plan.

Wait... do we set a specific time or just watch it on that particular day? Y'know, with the time zone and all :)

hmm... Didn't think of that, I guess we'd just have to watch it at some point during the day. Synching up the timezones could be quite difficult.

According to my clocks, it is apparently 99 days left rather than 100.  Hm, makes you think!

I can't wait for the new season!   Even if we have to wait 2 extra weeks, at least we know it's coming!  Even declared the month of June 'Futurama month'!  :)

I already watch episodes every day anyway.  And you call yourselves fans, needing a countdown.

Sadly, I do not own a TV capable of broadcasting the new FUTURAMA's to me.

Happily, my cousin agreed to make it a weekly thing when the new ones are out.

I'll keep an eye on this thread, and comment on the various episodes along the way.

Flame on.

edit: In case that actually did piss any of you off, how 'bout that?
No one thinks I'm real anyway.

Alright so there's 88 episodes (If you count each movie as 4) and according to my calender there are 90 days 'til June 24th...so I'll be kicking off the marathon on Sunday with Space Pilot 3000.

Who's in?

It's easier to just watch the whole movie in a day so I'll wait until the 76 day mark before I start my countdown. Now if they had a season five box set with the episode versions of the movies...

What?  I thought we were gonna gather pitch forks and torches and terrorise MightyBooshFan91's house for his treason against the Federal States of Futurama Fans.

Yes, but why would you want to follow the crowd? Haven't you ever seen one of those inspirational posters on some misguided math/history/health teacher's wall encouraging you to be yourself?

At any rate, I intend to do a 76-day countdown, because viewing the movies separately is a pain. That, and I don't think I can stomach the horrendous experience that is watching "Bender's Game" if I know I have to come back to it four days straight.

I am a very busy lady, as you well know, Svip. But I can always find me some time for an episode of Futurama. What do I look like, a girl who's not a dork?

HB - we could try asking C4... it's a popular show, they may buy it right away.

But I'm sure we know enough nice people in the US who could send out a DVD after the first episode airs. For me, just wanting to know how 'Rebirth' turns out is enough to deliberately spoil the surprise of seeing it myself.

Well, in fairness, despite how I applaud the fact that Gorks visits the Infosphere on a daily basis, Futurama Madhosue (TLZ) and The Futurama Point both have a countdown as well.

There, watched SP3000 and it still gives me the giggles and the listening to the early voice work was a treat.

"We can hide in here, It's free OOONNN Tuesdays!"

It's a good thing I stopped watching the show every single day for a few months before we had this countdown, so I'm able to enjoy it.

C'mon people, reminisce with me!

I watched Space Pilot 3000 and The Series Has Landed this morning and the line "Yeah, like you don't have crap in your neck" still cracks me up. That and when bender's body fails to catch his head. "Nice catch idiot."
