There are obviously legal difficulties protecting the copyright of your artwork, especially considering I don't think you can copyright art of somebody elses characters (it's akin to drawing a Coke logo and saying you own the copyright).  Furthermore, eBay is stacked with illegitimate fraudulent work like this, not just artwork, but football jerseys etc..

May I suggest that when you post your artworks online you should only release low resolution jpg copies to prevent others from being able to print it.  Not only the size of the image, but also a low DPI - which makes little difference on screen, but makes it quite difficult to print.

Having said that, I haven't seen the picture you're talking about and with flat colours such as in Futurama it may not be difficult for someone to clean it up for printing.

Update: The little ****er has re-listed the picture in a new auction. I have already sent more email to eBay... 

The guy must be desperate for money to keep placing the same pic up for auction.
