Before I say anything, I would like to say that I was very happy to hear that we would be seeing new futurama and I waited patiently for its arrival.  Unfortunetly, I was not too impressed with the quality of the movies (Despite the fact I bought all four).  They did not make me laugh like the 22 minute episodes did and I felt like most of the jokes were pretty dumbed down compared to what i was used to.  The show just wasn't meant to be made this way.

Knowing that we have new episodes on the way, THANK JEBUS, I am praying that they return to their former ways.  I really feel that the show progressed season to season with the 3rd season being my favorite and 4th being a very close second (dont get me wrong, the first two seasons were also great) but I feel that the show took a large step backwards during the 4 movies.

I just want to know what the rest of you think.  I realize that we were all just relieved to see new footage, but now that we know there is more on the way, tell us what you really think of the movies.

Ahem, this is the current Movie discussion thread: http://www.peelified.com/Futurama-Forum-1/Topic-17266-0-What_is_your_favorite_Fut.html

Read through it (throw some music from youtube on the side if it helps) and then add your own feelings to it (if you feel like it).

Quote from DXC:

Quote
“The DVD movies, due to their long nature, had to put the universe on the line,” he said. “It’s something you have to have in 90 minutes of sci-fi animation, along with slower pacing and more music. But now we can get back to Bender saying mean, funny things.”

Eh, watch the movies a couple more times. The ones that do not quite make it on your list before start to grow on you. You just have to step back and look at it for what it is.
