I am mostly worried about the smaller writing staff and shorter delivery schedule and the fact they'll have to deliver 26 episodes.
That's a lot, that's a lot of work for fewer writers and the fact that they have to come up with these ideas fast could also be a problem.
Do we know who, specifically, is coming back for these new episodes? Is it the entire writing staff responsible for the four movies (Verrone, Kaplan, Horsted, Rowe, Cohen, Keeler, Groening--methinks), or is it an even smaller bunch? I don't think the size of the staff will be a problem when it comes to breaking stories, necessarily (DXC and MG are always talking about all the ideas they never got to use during the original run), but I do fear a burn-out of some kind. Of course, Keeler, Kaplan, Verrone, and Cohen are responsible for many of the greatest episodes of the series; I trust that they'll do a great job this time 'round, too.

Which means, the first episode of season 6 will probably go back to the way it were and desert all its friends.
Please, please god, tell me you're just saying that to provoke discussion. Please tell me that. Please tell me that you're not actually serious when you say that. Seriously; do you honestly expect that to happen? I mean, why even have the show come back if they're going to p*ss all over everything like that? What, the money?
Damn. Futurama fans really can't catch a quote. I know it was obscure, as the original is "there comes a time for every man who becomes rich and deserts his friends, when he goes back how it was and that time is now". So no, I do not think so, I just thought it was an opportunity to use a quote.
