PEEL time is GMT+1, you can go to profile->account related settings at the top of the page and fix it so that it displays on your page (you probably have it set to your local time). Them's the rules. I assume that you're planning on casting your previous vote legally now to fix things, so no need to revise the tally (unless everyone who voted after you suddenly wants to change their votes). But given the conditions under which the contest terminates, enforcing the rule is mandatory, unless the ref suddenly wants to allow absentee/proxy voting and start counting votes simultaneously during the middle of the contest (which would be both a major travesty and a major headache).

speedracer: Actually, no. PEEL time had always been EST/EDT when we were on PEEL 1.0. When I say "PEEL time" I meant that, which is currently GMT-4. I trust people to not vote twice in the same period, but if you want to be safe, switch to that time zone. However, I find this to be a hassle for everybody to switch just to play this game, so use your best judgment. Personally, I seem to do what ice does and vote once during my evening and then at like 1am as I know I won't get to a computer during the morning.
Also, as to not cause confusion over what votes are legal and having to do a back round check on each vote, we'll say that Fistful's post is the official list.

I didn't vote at all yesterday, so if I'm understanding the rules correctly, then I can technically cast "consecutive" votes, right?

I haven't voted in a while, so I assume it is safe?

Which means no voting 'til i_c tells us otherwise. I assume it is safe?

You bastards!
New Rules: 1. All previous rules and edits apply. 2. All episodes lose 5 tallies. 3. Only one vote per 24 hour period. --a. You may again vote once 24 hours has expired. 4. An episode must receive 20 votes. 5. There will be a break when the next episode is eliminated.

Are we still not allowed to vote for an episode consecutively?
Given rule one (bolded above) and the fact that none of the other rules contradict the old rule about consecutive votes, I'd say it is pretty clear that, yes, we are still not allowed to vote for an episode consecutively. (Unless, of course, the powers that be make an ad hominem hoc decision and try to pass it off as a previous rule change that we somehow missed. But what're the chances of that happening, eh?) The "twice in a row" rule has been cut.
[Sigh]
