Tomorrow, 28 March, 2009, marks the 10th anniversary from when Futurama first aired "Space Pilot 3000" on Fox on 28 March, 1999.

I am just swooping in a day ahead, so you can all prepare to go crazy... or thereabouts.  Wait, you are crazy; I suppose give it all meaning.

I have nothing more to say right now.

I know I was happy on that date.  I was on vacation in Amsterdam at that time, during that end of March.

Anyway, I didn't start watching Futurama till March of 2006.

I knew about this too, but whoever got to announce it, it means the same thing.

A whole decade of Futurama.

And here's to the next one! :D

Anyone know when it first aired in Australia? I don't remember actually watching the first episode I just remember how much I loved it and how much I was pissed off when they showed the Olympics instead of Futurama in 2000

I have heard (second hand information) that it first aired late December, 1999.

Happy early birthday, Futurama! I have no idea what I was doing on March 28, 1999, on account of I didn't start watching you 'til 2002-ish, but I don't think that lessens my appreciation of your existence.

CC aired the SP3000 ep last night!

I remember seeing it the very first night the series premiered!!! I was very excited, and optimistic, since I was (and still am) a huge Simpsons fan.

I hope to Aethismo that Matt, DXC & crew get a second chance with this incredible show!!1

Huzzah! A decade of Futurama! It's a pity that no new episodes were being aired for a large portion of that decade, though.

Yes, it was some time around the last week, possibly the 31st at 7:30pm, but I can't be certain. I didn't expect to be this big of a fan at the time, so I wasn't taking notes... at the time.

A decade of fun and exictement!   At first, I admit.  I didn't like it too much, because I thought it was going to be like The Simpsons.  Liked Family Guy better at the time.  Then as the show progressed it grew on me and became one of my favorites!  Still love it to this day!

Happy 10th Birthday Futurama!

Here's hoping to some new upcoming episodes!

Happy B-day, Futurama!  I'll keep my fingers crossed that the morons who control TV network programming grow some nuerons & realize what a great (quality & potential great ratings) product they have in Futurama...
