Which opening credits do you prefer, the slighly faster Season 1+2 credits or the slower Season 3+4 credits?

P.S. If you think there is no difference make sure you re-watch an old and a new episode and listen before you vote.

I like the faster Season 1 and 2 credits. Also the opening credits for "Mars University" is cool :)

i like season 1 and 2. The music is better, I like when you can hear the bong  :) really loud, on its own, its not as hidden.
Actually, I really like all of the music they play on Futurama, even the incidental. Anyone know if they plan on releasing a music cd?
I bet all the technos are laughing at me b/c they've got everything downloaded already...

I like all music of Futurama, but I much prefer the fast openings of season 1+2.

Does anyone know why they changed it, was there any reason like making the episodes run a little longer or something?

Thanks for the links to the songs, but now I have further questions.  Being in America where Fox cuts out the end credits I didn't know there were funny little bits like the greeting card talking over the end credits in "Mother's Day".  Anyone know of a site that has sound files of this and possibly other end credit gags?

I have no idea. It was probably just a test. It was cool, but I like the old theme song, which in my opinion, is the best theme song period.

After I got the DVDs, I thought I was crazy since the songs were faster. Guess not. The weird thing though is that the voices in the show are a tad faster and higher pitched compared to the MPEG and VHS copies that I have. This is the case both on my computer and R2 PS2, I don't know what's up with that.    :hmpf:

One possible cause is that the show is (about) 24 fps ntsc (there is more too it than that though... close enough); an extra frame was added in every 25 frame to get it to be pal.  They probably didn't touch the audio, meaning audio that normally get played at 24 fps is instead played at 25 fps (higher pitch and faster); this is a common occurance when US movies gets ported to Brittain.

According to the DVD they wanted to remix the theme every week, MU was the first time and it sounded terrible (apparently) during transmission so they said "Woa, not trying that again."

Yea, it sounded good but when it was broadcast unless you had perfect reception and a good TV it sounded terrible
