Bender's game was great at first, however when I realized how disjointed and muddled the story was, it got much worse. The first half was brilliant though.
DXC says in the commentary that you're not meant to understand how they got there. They don't either, it was just a random, wacky event that had no explanation.

Bender's Game is shockingly bad. My brother watched it and just like me he struggled to sit through it. It put him off so much that he still hasn't bothered to watch Into The Wild Green Yonder despite me assuring him that it's much better, which is a shame. It's all Bender's Game's fault. That movie is also responsible for me stopping with the weekly review thing because I just couldn't stomach the thought of sitting through it again. Perhaps one day, when I feel like torturing myself I will...

According to the poll 32 people liked it more than any of the other movies. Maybe they hated them all, that would be the only logical conclusion...

Am I the only person who likes Bender's Game? I don't even like D&D...
Bender's Game was enjoyable on a certain level... but it wasn't brilliant. It was in fact, the worst of a set of overall decent Futurama movies. Doesn't mean it was awful, just that the others were better. They all have flaws, they all have good points. In order of descending greatness, I'd rank them thusly: ITWGY > BWABB > BBS > BG. It doesn't mean I think Bender's Game stinks, just that it was a subpar Futurama movie by comparison to ITWGY (which I pronounce "it-wiggy" in my head).

32/206 isn't that great a percentage. It's way less than 25%.

I already am, but not about Futurama. (which I pronounce "it-wiggy" in my head).

"Bwab" for me. Bwab. Say it with me now, "Bwab". Bwab. The Beast With A Billion Backs abbreviates nicely to "Bwab". It's a good word. A fine word, a cromulent word! Bwab!

ITWGY was on reallll early this morning. Loved it! I hadn't watched it in a while. It's definitely my favorite out of the four. I loved Fry in the movie, and I thought the professor was great as well.

I think the shippers voted up ITWGY. Benders Big Score was the best for me. I loved the time jumping, I loved the story behind Lars, and the circular nature of the entire movie, it had several memorable single lines for me, and the holiday trio were far more enjoyable in this than in Holiday Spectacular. There were a lot of other tiny things I liked too.
ITWGY would definitely be my second pick, but mostly because BWABB and BG were so awful. Yeah Wild Green had a good, cohesive story, and there were some touching moments throughout, but overall it just didn't keep me hooked like BBS did. I didn't find the whole Feministas group funny, whether it be slapstick, clever humor, or just as satire. I did like the use of Mr. Wong, and his and Fry's interaction.
I'll be honest, I have watched ITWGY several times, and not necessarily been bored by it, but I also don't find it as interesting as BBS was, and towards the end I had a fair amount of apathy towards the whole situation. It probably started with the whole filler section of Bender and the Don-Bot's wife. Did absolutely nothing for the story.

Yeah, I agree.. the opening with Bender and Don-Bot's wife was out of place. Didn't feel right there. What didn't you like about BWABB? Bender's game was pretty awful, 4th favorite for me.

Actually my favourite Futurama movie was the live-action one. I thought it was going to suck horribly but it really blew me away. Really well-done film.

Oh right, fine - "motion-capture". Whatever. It looked like live-action.

Speaking as a shipper who did indeed vote for "Into the Wild Green Yonder," I'm not sure it's a movie that only appeals to, uh, my kind. BBS is my second-favorite movie, and I actually think it has a lot more going for it, ship-wise, than Wild Green Yonder. For that reason, I also find a lot of Fry's behavior in BBS irritating (he's so whiny, essentially asking over and over, "Leeeeeela, why don't you love me?") and a lot of Leela's behavior callous (what with the flaunting-the-new-boyfriend thing--which doesn't bother me, per se, but doesn't exactly enhance my enjoyment of the movie). I don't think either character comes out of that movie looking too great (even if the love story itself is really sweet and inspires genuine character growth for both Fry and Leela). Maybe shippers appreciate the end of ItWGY because it finally provides a degree of closure for Fry and Leela, but I don't think the movie as a whole is particularly shippy. I mean, it has its moments--but what I like most about it is how the Fry/Leela story develops naturally and isn't even overtly romantic. The story is about trust and self-sacrifice in the context of a friendship, and only takes a turn for shippier territory in that final scene.

Not a bad idea though, eh? Imagine the motion-capture animation style that brought Tintin to life turned over to Futurama! How fucking awesome would that be!?
Ughhh! I just came.

Lol...Tintin's hair in the new movie does remind me of Fry's...minus a hair horn lol. Anyways, my fave movie is BBS. I love the moment where Leela realizes that Lars is Fry when she sees the tattoo on Lars' butt and then looks at Fry. Priceless.
