(This is a little late in coming, and if somebody's mentioned it, I'm sorry.)

I was thinking about what happens in BBS, specifically how it affects LOTF and JB, and a thought occurred:

In a way (a very specific way), nothing changed in terms of those two episodes. Now, I know that technically, they did since events were altered, but for Fry (the Fry that remains Fry), nothing has; as far as he knows, Seymour still lived a long and full life without him around, and nothing he learned in 'Luck' changed, either (and it would seem that nothing major changed there, either, unless the writers neglected to deal with that - Yancy likely ended up with the clover in the end, and thus his soon did, too).

I'm not looking to start (or restart) some vast argument over this (famous last words); I guess it's more a crumb of comfort to everyone that was annoyed that the timeline shennanigans ended up altering the events of two beloved episodes. Please don't kill me? :)

i think they saw the plot involved going into the past and saw an opportunity to "clean" certain plot lines (the things being blown up outside the cryogenics lab)
and fry probably never wanted the breakfast club soundtrack (i wonder why) again,
so the clover stayed
