Today is the day! Beast with a Billion Backs has finally hit the US. So this is the topic to talk all about the movie!

Give reviews, talk about your favorite scene, best joke, and anything else related to the movie.

Enjoy!    :D

Posted in the "I've Got BWBB" thread:

JUST picked it up before work!
Won't be able to view it until tonight (or lunchtime ) The packaging is EXCELLENT. The matte finish with the glossy bumpy Leela is very sleek, much better than lenticular Bender of BBS in my opinion. Very detailed retro horror movie art inside, awesome disc holder slot and the free postcard and bookmark (?) are treats! Only complaint: the security strip tears away at the cardboard if removed, so I'm not fiddling with it anymore.

OOH! Just noticed, inside the BWBB box is a sketch of leela being attacked by the tentacle. VERY subtle.

BTW, got my copy at Target for $19.99 with an attached $5 off BBS coupon.

Watched most of the special features over my lunch break, great stuff! Loved the Futurama Game commentary. I'm currently playing the game for the first time on Xbox, so the plot is now spoiled for me but I really enjoyed the cast and crews comments on the games successes and faults.
There is a nifty 3D model featurette, BUT DO NOT WATCH IT UNTIL VIEWING BWBB
Bender's Game looks to be awesome! An unexpected 2 minute plus full-color trailer! Looks like I was completely wrong on guessing that
was the catalyst for the fantasy setting. Also,

Torrented it when it first appeared on the intertubes, was the first one to buy a copy in town today!

Excellent all round, laughed out loud until parts hurt that probably should not from laughing...

I was happy to have more of the feeling from the show back, with more snappy jokes and great lines. My greatest bender quote is most definitely now: "Humans are stupid and they die easy!" Its like a summary of our condition.

That being said, I'm impressed that they managed to hold a proper story element and keep the jokes coming. I loved Amy's relationship getting center stage, and can't deny the future entertainment value it holds.

Reviews said the ending dropped the ball, I say DOWN WITH THOSE GUYS. It may not have been as intense or packed as the rest of the movie, but it told a damn good story in a fitting way. Benders last speech was a good way to close movie 2, and give us enough to chew on while we await Benders Game.

Damn, is it out yet...

How about now?

VERY satisfied. I laughed more in the first fifteen minutes then in the entire BBS.  I agree with Ni that it "feels" more like Futurama.  It was paced well, lots of humour, great characterization, neat twists, good amounts of Zapp, Calculon and WERNSTROM~... plus they didn't forget about or ignore old stuff.  I loved Leela's line at the end to Fry.  Brings it all full-circle.  No idea what's up with people saying the ending dropped the ball.  It was fine.

Yeah.  Funny, entertaining, touching at times, but most of all, Awesome.  Two huge tentacles up.
