The simplest one of all: Zapp Brannigan is a riff on Captain Kirk.

Honking = Howling was a repeat by me. Doh!

But this isn't:

There was an old man named Michael Finnegan
He had whiskers on his chinnegan
They fell out and then grew in again
Poor old Michael Finnegan
Begin again

(Brannigan, begin again).

When Aliens Attack = When Animals Attack

Also the destruction of the monuments and the sand castle in the same episode is clearly an Independence Day rip.

Most of the title parodies can be found on Wikipedia.

"I Second That Emotion" is also a reference to the episode being the second season premiere.

A title that isn't a parody? How about:
A Big Piece of Garbage
Mars University
Brannigan, Begin Again
Why Must I Be a Crustacean in Love?
Anthology of Interest
I Dated a Robot
Anthology of Interest II
Leela's Homeworld
Bender Should Not Be Allowed on TV
The Why of Fry
Three Hundred Big Boys

Well there's A Bicyclops Built for Two which is a play on the song title. And there's a fair chunk of the episode that's a homage to Married with Children. Plus there's that something with the virtual reality world, probably several references theretoo tired to mention them thoughooooo remember them...gah...

That's where that thread went to! I remember there being one, but was too lazy to search. (Yeah, I admit it!)

I would've never thought of those things. I haven't even heard of them until now. Good finds, Teral.

Why Must I be a Crustacean In Love - Why Must I be a Teenager in Love.
I Dated a Robot - I Dated a Werewolf
That's all for now, I know that Three Hundred Big Boys is one but can't seem to find it in my ancient memory as well as Bender Should Not be Allowed on T.V.

There was a ridiculous, low grade B movie made in the 50's called "You Should Not Be Allowed To Live", but I kinda doubt that's what it's based on.  Other than that, I'm also drawing a blank regarding "Bender Should Not Be Allowed On TV"...

I gave up on the title parodies after looking at Teral's link. (Crushing hopes since 2002, LOL)

Now how about that moment in "The Honking" when Bender reads the binary "gibberish" and then again in the mirror = REDRUM....... MURDER.

I only know enough binary to ask the way the to the bathroom, but I'm led to believe the literal translation of what Bender reads in the mirror is actually 666.

In "I Second That Emotion", it was revealed that the mutants worship a nuclear bomb that never exploded.  That idea parodized  'Beneath The Planet of the Apes'.

In "30% Iron Chef", at the end, Chairman Koji says to Bender "Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto", which is the famous catch phrase from the old Styx song "Kilroy Was Here".

0101100101

which is 357 (in decimal) is also the reverse of 1010011010 (= 666 in decimal).

But binary isn't a language any more than the alphabet is a language.

And anyway, if he doesn't 'know' binary, what was he quoting from the prophet Jerematic when he said Grace in Hell is Other Robots?

And things aren't like they were in the good ol' days. Darn kids. Stay off my lawn!

I'm surprised you laugh at anything.

Now there's that moment in The Sting:

Hermes: "No, no. Honeycomb's big!"

Damn, I cant remember the advert cause I'm English and never saw it - but I still know it's a parody.

In "Future Stock", Calculon is at the apefights, & gets a trike thrown at him, to which he says "get your stinkin' trike off me, you damn dirty ape!".  Which of course is a riff from the line in "Planet of the Apes".

Not being from the USA either I had assumed that the whole "    Honeycomb's big. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's not small? No, no, no." bit must be from an ad or similar piece of pop culture. But surely its more a reference rather than a parody?

In any case a quick search on the internet revealed that another reference from that episode had escaped my notice because apparently the jingle comes from a series of TV commercials where various visitors come to a clubhouse called the Honeycomb Hideout.

It kind of makes you wonder how many other 'jokes' us non-Americans are missing out on.

In "30% Iron Chef", Bender goes through a training sequence with Helmut Schparkel.  He peels a floating potato with a lightsaber (which is a nod to "Star Wars" ), and the training music is "You're the best around", which is taken from "Rocky 3".
