Partway there...   :)

I'd sacrifice anything, come what might,
for the sake, of a TOTP, despite
of the warning posts, that come in the night,
and repeat, how they threaten, in my ear!
Don't you, you fool, you're gonna get hurt.
Listen to what I'm saying to you,
disappearing is what you're gonna do.
Unless you stop being so obnoxious!
And stop posting at the top of the page!

Yup, I caught that one right away from the Intro- it is a BIG homage/parody to Metropolis.  Also, the opening titles for both are very similar with beams of light spelling out the name of the show and dissolving into an image of the city.

Easy way is to find a picture on the web that you want to post, right click on it, go to properties & copy it's web address.  Then, once you've written your text you want in your post, simply type

Let's have more episodes in which Fry and Leela ALMOST kiss.  The pursuit of Leela by Fry is one of the most elemental facets of Futurama's humor.
Yes, I've listened to the DVD commentaries.  MG, DXC, and others said they would like to do an episode where Leela and Fry get together...but would that be the best thing to do?
Let's face it, if the shippers' dreams come true with Fry and Leela getting together, the show would be over...

Remember that the agreement that Fry and Leela should get together comes after everyone knew that season four was the last one. So I'd take it more in a wrapping up the overall storyline way than just an individual episode or permanent story change (cf the death of Maude Flanders in The Simpsons) in an ongoing story arc. Especially as the reference is to a ninety minute program (ie a TV movie rather than a regular episode) which a lot of long-running series wrap up with if they get the chance.

As I have tried to stay away about from mentions of plotlines and just general spoiler-like stuff about the three remaining movies I'm not too sure how reliable this is but I understand that the last of the four movies (Into the Wild Green Yonder.)...

Yeah, it is supposed to. However, the general assumption is that it'll only contain said resolution if the series is not renewed for further episodes. Otherwise, the ending will more likely be nicely ambiguous again.

Well, no; not necessarily. Supposedly if the movies do well enough there's a chance it'll be reincarnated.

I don't suppose that overseas sales figures will help with respect to the 'back on the air' decision?

Oh well, all the more reason to order the remaining films from the States rather than just waiting four months for the local release.
