I don't know what is is about the 9 o'clock time slot. I always forget it. Some nights I forget and turn on Cartoon Network at 11. When Family Guy comes on it's like a slap in the face.

Futurama Llama says he doesn't mind the move, because all that matters is that Futurama is still being aired, sometime, somewhere.

Arizona time is 10p.m. right now and I forget it's on till the about 10:20p.m.!!  Maybe10:17!!
The Good thing I miss with Adult Swim is that Cartoon Network ran Futurama twice a night.  Something like 11p.m. and 3a.m. in the summer  Arizona time and midnight and 4a.m. in the Fall(we don't have Daylight Savings Time).  I just wish Comedy Central ran Futurama the same way- twice a night.
I love seeing, "the future is now,"commercial at random times on comedy Central.

Now that I  think about it-- I'll just get a bit more creative and record it on my DVDR  on an RW disc-- I'll set up the times as they appear on http://www.tvguide.com/tvshows/futurama/   end of any compaint I could've had!!  And watch it at my leisure.  I think my brain cells were smoking there. Now I can go back to my lull of a hypnotic state of consumerism.   ZZZZZZZ........

Yeah, I read something in the PE stockroom that got me wondering if bumping was double  posting, so, I thought I may have performed a boo boo.   It's my first hour or two here. So,thank-you for my first reproach.  I shall persevere in the future.   :flirt:

I'm just glad other good shows filled Futurama's place on CN.

So this is interesting:

Also due in March is the broadcast premiere of "Futurama: Bender's Big Score" (Sunday, March 23 at 8:00/7:00c)

From this, it looks like CC is airing BBS in full rather than as four episodes. Or was it always going to be like that?

Thanks for the article,Smitty, from what I've read, they still have plans to cut all four movies into four episodes each at some future date to make that to be "a new season of episodes for Comedy Central."  I wish I kept the link to share.  Now I try to keep all the links I read in the case someone says prove it!! But it will be nice to see the whole movie aired in March with the commercials added- like a legitmate piece of Americana.   :p

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but I HATE the promos for Futurama they run on Comedy Central. With the "hop black voice over dude" listing wacky things about the future, over super short clips of the show (things like tubes, and a lot of wacky one off aliens). I understand people have short attention spans nowadays, but it gives no idea of the humor or wit of the show, you don't even hear any of the voice acting.

Maybe I just watch too much daytime comedy central, but it's really annoying. If I didn't know Futurama, the promos would NOT make me want to watch. Too much "generic wacky" cartoon vibe

I agree.  The Comedy Central ads are obnoxious.  I'm not quite sure who they think they're appealing to, but it certainly isn't the audiene that could be described as Futurama's 'core'.

The ad's are very obnoxious. I could do a better job with the help of one of my classmates doing the editing. I just like that they show the "Zapp:I suffer from a very sexy learning disablitly. What do I call it Kif? Kif: *Sigh* Sexlexia." clip. If I wasn't a huge fan aready I definatly wouldn't want to watch it. I'd probably still check it out but the ad's would make me very iffy on it.

What's with the lack of new episode news? I really hope they aren't just going to air only the movie in full with out out promised episodes I will lose it.

I'll take the annoying commercials if it keeps Futurama on any station actively airing the show.  I'm basicly glad it's on tv with lame commercials and all!!  Benders Big Score is going to be aired in its entirety on Comedy Central March 23!!  You can check tv guide for your local listing:  http://www.tvguide.com/Listings/default.aspx
Here's an really up-to-date article with the news clearly stated for we Futurama fans:  http://www.peelified.com/cgi-bin/out.cgi? u=http://www.peelified.com/cgi-bin/out.cgi?u=http://www.thefutoncritic.com/news.aspx?id=7549

One thing I noticed is that sometimes the captions are slightly off.

In "Future Stock," for example, the scene where Fry mooned Mom's company had the following:

Fry:  Look at my butt!
Mom:  You call that an anus?

...Just a little odd.

Does anyone else notice captioning glitches?  CC tends to do this from time to time.

Well, that was the original line, but the rewrote it... Is it just a coincidence or were they captioning that earlier line?

Ok I might just be going crazy but I have a question. In love and Rocket when Fry and Leela are in the ships room trying to deactivate it Fry says something about finding the right candy heart. Then Leela says "fat chance" and Fry says "I know" has those two lines always been spoken and im just crazy or were they added to the dvds.

In the Mountain time zone, CC airs Futurama at 10, which is perfect for me, for several reasons:

1. It's right up against the Simpsons on the Box network, and seeing as how CC bought the rights to Futurama, and Matt Groening has already expressed his wish to discontinue the Simpsons and work on Futurama, I will choose Futurama anyday, hoping that in some small way, I can help to see an end to the Simpsons and a revival of Futurama.
 2. Futurama is now followed by South Park, which is a far superior show to the talentless Family Guy.
 3. Comedy Central does care about the shows they promote. I don't think I've seen a channel spend so much to promote their shows, and they are doing the same for Futurama. I would even be willing to bet that CC will soon have Futurama content on their website, and fans will even be allowed to watch their favorite clips.

On another note, Jurassic Bark aired last night, complete with 96 tears from me, and they DID show the credits in the corner, like they're doing with all other episodes.

those bastarsds If I didn't have the entire series on DVD so I couldn't watch every episode at any time I wanted to then I might be mad. But I do have the series so I don't really care what they do to the credits.

Something about seeing South Park the very second the episode ends completely ruins it.

Time to do some father-son weaseling out of this. I thought I could find a quote to back my statement in the Playboy interview Groening did in the June 2007 issue. The only thing I could find was Groening stating that with only one project, Simpsons, he spends all his time on the Simpsons. But now that Futurama was coming back, he could finally start devoting less time to the Simpsons, and more on a project he really loves, Futurama.
"If I don't have a competing project, I'm very involved. [with the Simpsons] Right now, the Futurama writers are very busy working on new episodes of the show, which will be back on the air in 2008." (Playboy, vol. 54, no.6, June 2007, page 58)

So, I'll admit I went overboard with my statement,  if you all want to fire me from a cannon into the sun, I'll understand.

OMG! The Simpsons is ending?
Hmm... well I DO love Futurama.
Hope the Simpsons end with a bang.

And in response to the crappy commercials;
hmm... there is no doubt that they don't do the show any justice and make that "sexlexia" joke old and tired but... I don't know, I'm just glad that its back.

It's going to be the four full length movies that will be cut into four twenty-two minute episodes per movie for a total of sixteen "new" episodes, prankster235.  Comedy Central will aire Bender's Big Score on March 23rd, 2008 as a full length movie with the commercials.  Make sure you set up your TiVo(or comparative equipment) so you won't miss Comedy Central's Treatment of this new Futurama to come out since 2003!  Check your local listings on http://www.tvguide.com/   for the exact aire time.

The developement and production of modern anime in Japan and other Asian countries is exactly how Matt Groening and crew are doing the four full length Futurama movies- Full length movies first, then they get a contract from tv to cut the movies into so many 22 minute episodes to aire on tv as a series.  So, U.S. American animators are just catching up to a very lucrative way to make a living at their craft with the movies first and the series to follow.  ;)  :)

Yay!  Bender's Big Score is airing tonight!   :D

I'm gonna watch it (even though I have the DVD).  XD

Since no one at my house likes Futurama, except for me, I don't have much fun watching DVDs by myself.

That's why when something comes on TV, I always jump at the chance to watch it!!   :)

commercial one-
ok so the first part of the movie has started to air and we are in the first commercial. First off, im annoyed because CC horribley cut down the intro, but they made up with there own new futurama torgo commercial. It was

when your toilet smells like fesis
from some disgusting species
take a powder, with torgo... or something like that.

It's back on so I will post at the next commercial

Edit-Commercial 2

Ok so it's another commercial already. If commercials keep up at this rate nearly half the movie will be cut to fit in 2 hours. I only noticed one small cut this time. It was Leela saying the last pigme Rhino going exstinct if she didn't give her credit card number.

edit- commercial 3

So the movie is 4 episodes because the first ended then said to be continued and we saw credits then another opening sequence and back into the next episode. The movie seems to be going faster on tv than the dvd so I don't know if its me or small scenes are being cut. On a side note I hope CC made more new stuff for the movie other than one torgo commercial.

commercial 3

The movie is going so fast compared to the DVD version to little cuts here and there.

Commercial 4

Leela and Lars montage was cut WAY down. I hope theres more added content likt the Torgo commercial but nothing yet. Back to the intro, its cut down to about a regular episode time, so theres no characters shown except for zoidberg quick and half the intro song was removed.
