maybe this has already been adressed, and i just missed i (in which case, a link would be great) but does anyone know if theres a soundtrack, i know the lack of full orchestration made the musical side of the film  suffer some, but the re-mixed futurama theme, as well as some of the licenced music used would be great to have

Somewhere in fanfiction and art there's a link to somewhere you can download the theme from the credits...

I don't think it would be best to do a BBS ST being that there wasn't many songs. More of an album set when we see the rest of the films/episodes ect, whatever-are

I just want a general Futurama soundtrack. All of the show's various songs would fit comfortably on one CD and allow plenty or room for several tracks of Christopher Tyng's episode scores (and the one major beef I had with Bender's Big Score was the lack of an orchestral score  :().

I think I've got what you guys are looking for:

I May as Well Jump

This Trinity's Going To War

New End Theme

New Intro

Pop Song

Space Battle

I would have put these up on my futurama site, but I shut it down awhile back because I was tired of spending $4 a month.

this is great, though, of course, even though right now theres no way to do it, it would be sweet to get the space battle theme without the  background noise from the movie, but for this we will probably have to wait until a soundtrack of some sort is released officially

is there anyway to get that "pop song" without the other sounds? Is the music perhaps on a different "level" or channel than the other sounds? I have no idea how to do that stuff.

So yeah, there is a way to do what I said. Although the channel I found the music on wasn't completely clean, it's cleaner than anything I've heard so far out there, so here's that song I've seen a lot of people asking for.

It's the one where Lars and Leela are on a date. song

@Flowah: Next time don't double=post or you won't be popular with the mods.  ;)
@SO: The only one I can download is I May As Well Jump. It keeps saying "Sorry, this GeoCities site is currently unavailable" when I click on the others. I don't suppose you could post new links or soemthing?

@RDR: yeah, sorry about that.  The links work; I just have a miniscule bandwidth allotment.  Try downloading the songs again.  If it still gives you trouble, then waiting 24 hours ought to fix the problem.

so, on the topic of the soundtrack, and finding versions of the song without the movie audio over the music as well, i think that i found a possible source for the new main theme: ilovebender.com
im sure we have all been to this site, its basically the promo site for the movie, and benders email address is at that site (as shown in the movie) anyway, you will notice if you go, that once the site loads, it starts to play the theme in its entirety, i checked the page source to see if i could find the music file but i think it is in the javascript. im not that adept with coding, but im sure someone here could get the song off of ilovebender.com

^^
I know this is kinda old, but I figured I'd let you know how to rip the music off of ilovebender.com
it's not encoded in the javascript, I already read through.
but if you're running firefox, when you get to the page click command/control I
then go to media and click "save as" for the embedded .swf file.
now all you have to do is decompile the file.
You can use SoThink, or whichever swf decomp of your choice.
^^ it should be easy from there on.

You may find this article of interest then.

As for the song in question, it is "Rocket Ship" by Daniel Johnston, though the song in question is a cover by Kathy McCarty.

The song itself can be heard on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZLdgb3kZpM.
