And then they aired the exact opposite of what you meant.  Let this be a lesson for everyone: avoid saying anything that might be used against you, in any way.

Well, at least the first two guys rocked in what they said.  All publicity is good publicity.

  They aired WAY more stuff with that guy up in San Fran. He had a great segment. (Way to go!  )
Mine was just a throw-on segment. They changed a bit of what I said as soon as my face was OS.

D'oh, I missed the thing by just a few minutes. Is it true that they digitally inserted an "I *heart* FOX" t-shirt onto Sarge? Tech TV is a bastard.

I think it will air several times for the next 24 hours. Whenever Tech Live comes back on again, they'll rerun the same program.
No, they didn't screw around with my black T-shirt. They aired one of my lines that sounded a little sarcastic without tagging on my follow-up line that cancelled out the sarcasm. Heh. Pretty sneaky. They cut out 99% of my interview. Oh well, that's TV.

Well, I was a bit disappointed by how they used Sarge. Everyone knows he said more than they showed. They didn't even have CC. I was lucky to hear the segment. It's still good publicity for the fans. 6 million viewers AND counting! Woo-hoo!

It did make me sound neutral. It's called 'balanced reporting'. If you saw my entire 15 minute interview, you'd see how I really was supporting the show, yet describing how TV works the way we least suspect it.

There's another free one, but you need a valid credit card for identity, no charges involved, called hypermart.net

I'll have a 30MB mpeg and 10ish MB divx within a few hours.  Btw, nice story they did, but in my opinion, it could have been better.

As I have not seen it yet I will leave my comments until tomorrow. Don't feel bad Sarge - they were at my hotel room for a good hour and taped for almost 80% of that time so I know a ton of stuff had to have ended up on the cutting floor.
Thanks for the kind words McGrady! Being 1 of only 3 people able to speak for an entire community was difficult. There are always things in hindsight that I feel could have been said so thank you all for not bashing to much on the sound bytes. I like everybody else involved did my best and was happy to contribute.

Hey Sarge!  Just saw it over here on the West Coast.  That's soooooooooo awesome how they actually gave some recognition to you, the fans and the petition.  We need all the help we can get.  I was just at the Tech TV website and saw that the TOP STORY was "Fans Fight For Futurama".  Yipppeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!     Maybe this'll show those FOX executives we care.  And it figures that they wouldn't return TechTV's calls.     Stupid, no good, monkeys...Why, Gunther, why did you have to come into power???
P.S. I feel weird knowing how you really look, Sarge.  I also thought you looked just like Fry all scared and pointing.  Ah well.  I guess I just have weird first impressions.

Finally got to see the piece. I thought it was pretty good. Even though your comments were taken out of context Sarge I can understand how/why they did that. I do not think there was any harm in it and really helped to round out the story.
Has anyone left comments at TechTV? I think we should all go over there and thank them for at least picking up this story and airing it. As in the letter writing campaign if you do not agree with the content of the story at least be polite about it in your comments.

I think jon did one, I am dying to see that interview, but what I've seen in this thread is that and the written version sarge looks very neutral    and not 'must kill fox'    hehe... damn those people who edit out those things... thank god you didn't say something like 'screw futurama... is fox thinking right now'
