I'm more worried that they'll chop it up and scrunch the end credits.

This is neat.  It's probably only be up for a few days.

The Corvette forum that I visit has a advert link for Cartoon Network:

The last Futurama Marathon Ever.  Dec. 26-Dec. 31.  Goodbye, Old Future Friend.

I'm worried about that too. But doesn't Comedy Centralusually just put them on half the screen so they are still readable and the little box where they show clips, they could have extra Futruama clips there.

I'm not worried about it at all. If comedy central chops it up and adds crap loads of commercials, or scrunches up the end credits, then fine because atleast futurama will still be on the air. Even if comedy central did not purchase the rights, adult swim would still lose it and then there wouldn't be any futurama on the air

I wouldn't worry about that at all. If you remember, Futurama is the largest acquisition in Comedy Central history. I doubt they'd pay so much money just to show Futurama at 3:00am in the morning. Also mind that it's leaving a network where it gained more ratings and revenue than most of its original shows and the entirety of Saturday anime combined. It was the top program on [adult_swim]. I don't think Comedy Central would have a bidding war with Cartoon Network to gain rights to air a show just to not air it.

I'm definitely more worried about what Kryten said. Comedy Central does put credits at super speed on half the width of the screen. The real worry is chopping up the show. I'd be really mad if they start cutting jokes just to get more commercials in. It's the same thing with airing the show out of order, which bugs me a lot. If I were a new fan, I would be confused when the show a character like he's always been there when he's never been introduced.

I guess that some Vette owners aren't familiar with Futurama.

Some guy started a thread wondering what Nibler was.

The Futurama page on their site refers to the crew as the "Galaxy Express" crew. Not the best sign.

Funny that it's plastered on the sections front page, although all other mentions of the company call it by its correct name. Also, they have an episode listed as "A Bucyclops Built for Two". And still, they sub-title Leel as an "ONE-EYED TURANGA". This coupled with airing them in the broadcast order (which at least I don't like!) causes me to have some worries about this whole thing...

I just took a look around at the Comedy Central site myself and I would like to release the following statement:

Yep, we're boned...

Who cares what they get wrong on the website, or if they're showing them in broadcast order or not? All that matters is that they're showing Futurama at a time when I can watch it!

With regards to the end credits, I don't mind that they speed through the normal end credits but when they start speeding through the ones with different songs in them (TSHL, Garbage, and ESPECIALLY JB) that really pisses me off.

What'd I miss?  What'd I miss?  Did they make any special statements prior to the premiere or just jump right into SP 3000?  Also, have they re-branded the ship the "Galaxy Express?"

*checks the schedule*

Ah, I see...

So it airs at 8:00 PM.  That's a good time!  ^_^

I will definitely watch Futurama tomorrow, and also the next day and the next day, etc.  XD

I completely agree with you on that!   :)

Hooray for Futurama being officially back!

By the way, I can't wait to see the "new" episodes.  I hope they will have added scenes or something, for everyone who has already seen the movie.

Usually, it's best to never trust the official website ;-)
