I agree with...well 90 percent of you, one of the best episodes ever. I love where Bender is on fire for no reason. First time I saw it when Fry gets reanimated out of honey I thought they were gonna go with that and be done with it like any lesser sci-fi show would do. This proves how brilliant the writers are. Also one of the best lines in the show:

Fry: "Why am I sticky and naked, did I miss something fun?"

Oh, upon yet further reflection I would also like to add that although I found the funeral scene overwrought in general, I loved the fact that they thought to include the radiator with Fry's women. That was brilliant.

I concur, that's an awesome Fry line.

As to why they needed to collect the stuff in the first place, [Professor]This is no ordinary honey![/Professor]

I would like the show to tell me, at some point, whether Space Honey really is a narcotic or something, or if Leela's dreamworld was completely making that up.  It would explain why he sent at least three crews on suicide missions to get the stuff.

Yeah it would Sarcastinator. Also until I watched the commentary for this episode in January I never noticed the radiator with the rest of Fry's girlfriends.
What up?

hello everyone srry im late, yes today is

Bend Her

im kinda odd when it comes to my favorite tv shows, in the sense that im never dissapointed in an episode, I have my fav's and most of the others I love all the same, so I do like this episode, even though its a little sexist. I'm just glad that I can watch it because I get joy from watching futurama, no matter the episode

I found this one highly ironic in a lot of ways. Bender's attitude was... sterotypical, not really accurate, and at least some of the sexism was aimed at us men.

Calculon's Ego was hilarious of course, and the grand finale with the whole melodramatic soap-opera plot wedding cracks me up every time.

Not my favourite, but the idea that Bender would do anything to get a few trinkets is always good for a laugh.

It was nice how the sexism was pretty much evenly distributed.

Best part of this one is Calculon and the wedding, by far.

Liked 'Congo Jack' and the note he reads.  :laff:

This episode is not one of my favorites, but it's still better than almost everything on TV right now.  The character of Calculon never ceases to amaze me how egotistical he is, and the wedding scene is definitely a hoot...

Barbados Slim always cracks me up.

This episode is underrated. It doesn't have an epic storyline or anything, and Bender as a woman is kind of creepy...but it has some funny gags, and I'm a sucker for some good woman-bashing jokes.

One of the weaker episodes of the season, livened by a few good gags (The nation of French Stereotypes, Zoidberg's cake rant, the wedding scene). Once again, Bender fails to carry an episode.

Bend Her stands in my mind as one of the funnier episodes of the series, but I agree it's nowhere near the top of my list.  Still, there are some great gags like Bender trying to register for the Olympics and the instigation of soap opera pain.  At least there aren't any more weak, Bender-heavy episodes...

Today is "Obsoletely Fabulous."  Unlike the "it was all a dream"-scenario in "The Sting," this one does seem like a cop-out.  It had a couple good lines, several good sight gags, but I feel like the island robots were the best part of the episode.

Not one of my favourite episodes either, but there are a few good jokes in there: Wernstrom and Farnsworth "having at each other", the six-pack of ducks and the Matrix spoof bit.

The animation somehow seemed a lot better in this episode, for example the fizz when bender puts down his beer, and the way the metal cooled down after Bender and Robot 1-X weld the satellite dish to the roof.

... I have it! It's early and I have it!

Oof, now I just have to wait for the wife to get home so we can watch it together. Someone waiting for four hours is worse than waiting for a whole week.

Wrong thread! I don't care!

I love Fry's lines in the wedding thing because its so incredibaly circuitous.

Coilette "Congo Jack!"
Fry: "Yes and I have a message from Colonel Motumbe. He says 'This is from Congo Jack!'"

And of course Zoidberg as the wedding planner.

Zoidberg: "ORDER THE CAKE DAMNIT!!"

It seems like the crew in OF live at the PE building.  I mean they don't go on any deliveries anymore, they just watch TV and they put a satellite on the building.  You notice how Amy is always on the floor.  It's just strange, but cute.

You can tell that Futurama has become Simpsonified, and I'm referring to the Simpsons after season 10.

Bender has some good lines and helps save this episode.

"Save my friends...and Zoidberg".

I have a suspicion that obsoletely fabulous was the obligatory stupid episode. The only good thing in it was the 1X Robot.

Everything that happened in Bender's dream can't be seen as canon, of course. The satellite, the fire, the way they seem to be just sitting around, it's all generated by Bender's psyche - or wahtever the robot equivalent is - rather than actual events. Of course Bender would like to just sit on his arse all day and never have to do any work.

Another weak Bender-centered episode. Frankly, he's just not deep enough of a character to have an episode centered around him.

It's defiantly not the best episode but it beat the crap out of Cryonic Woman. I love Bender but he need more depth as a character.

I love this episode. The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that we find out that Leela has been making up excuses to not go with Fry and that we never see the promised date between Fry and Leela. This episode proves that Fry and Leela would work out amazingly well. 2 Zoidbergs and 2 Benders how could life get any better?

We see the consequences of said date in the form of increased camaraderie between the two in later episodes.

Also, I like how Fry says "Whatever's in there, it's the only thing I've ever wanted."

Also, I appreciate that Leela was the immature one who opened the box.

It proves that they could work in the right circumstances, not that they'd always work. For all we know they could have had a messy divorce five minutes after the episode ended...

Very good one; another good Professor-heavy and sci-fi-oriented episode, although I feel they could have done even a little more with the plot. Effective use of the ensemble cast. One thing I always found amusing is how in every universe they go to, they always just run into alternate versions of themselves; never anybody else.

Excellent title also.
