[Edit]My question. Who the hell would say 'I love what you've become' like Leela did in Parasties Lost?

Leela would.  Not one of her brighter moments, eh?

i was pretty suprised by that too, it just dosn't sound like something Leela would say. Even if that was what she was thinking she would have worded it differently.

I know exactly how you feel, PEEL is playing up for me too at the moment and because I'm fed up of re-typing posts I am currently typing them all on Microsoft Word and copying and pasting them over so that if it doesn't accept my post then I don't have to re-type it again.

Omicronians. From Omicron-Persei Eight, although I swear that's often pronounced "Omnicron-Persiai."

Oh, I've got another question, but it's kinda strange. I've recently watched "Where No Fan Has Gone Before" for the first time, and I know that most of the jokes went over my head because I'm not a Trekkie, but there's one joke which I probably should get, but it just confuses me :hmpf: It's the Eminem song "Could The Real Slim Shady Please Stand Up". I know the song, and I get the joke against rap music being talking hehe, but I don't get what it was to do with the rest of the episode? And why a song which is 1002 years old is chosen, it seems a bit laim to me, like the writers were lazy or something? :hmpf:

William Shatner produced a number of spoken word versions of "current" songs a while back.

One thing I have noticed is that the writers have never experimented with hoiw music might've evolved in 1000 years. We've seen the Beastie Boys and a good old fashioned mosh pit (and Leela  :laff: ), Beck and a hippy revival, Leela referring to Fry's 'classical' rap music, and now a spoken word version of a rap song (that was a million times better than the original!).

Anyone care to venture an opinion.

Also I have a question. I remember something about one of the cast (maybe Bender) referring to Leela dyeing her hair with food colouring. Was this in an episode or did I read it in a fan fic?

I think it's a reference to Shatner's "singing" of Elton John's "Rocket Man" at the 1978 Science Fiction Film Awards. Go here to download an MP3 of it.

Shatner had a brief singing career (one the fancommunity tries it's best to forget), and did some "singing" in the Pricelinedotcom ads.

Why they chose that particular rapsong I don't know.

Archie: You probably read it in this fanfic by Max of Say Argh!

Oh, I have another question.

I don't think Beck is a hippie musician, wasn't the idea that he was a folk singer and that's one of Bender's ambitions?
Sure they had hippie references like the funky t-shirts etc.

I'd like to see some Alien musicians myself, maybe a heavy metal rock group from the Satania planet.

Okay, quick question: Does anyone know the name of Fry's mother? His father is named Yancy, but has the name of Mrs. Fry ever been revealed?

No, I don't think her first name was ever mentioned.  "Here's your baby, Mrs. Fry."  is the closest we got, m'thinks.
